Pharaoh 500s variations (1 Viewer)

I just picked up some Pharaoh 500s and noticed they contain two similar but different color patterns. It is not a cleanliness issue. They are both mint. One has bright pink spots, the other a more dull purple. Is this a well known fact? Any difference in popularity/scarcity?

I believe there were two production runs of Pharaoh's cash chips, along with the variations of Non-denomination chips. Unsure which $500 spot is which though.

I found out about this years ago when I purchased an add on barrel & it didn't match my others. Good to know which ones I'm looking for now.

If anyone looks at their mint 500 chips and discovers they have a purple/pink mix like me, let’s swap to reduce the variations! (Yes I’m OCD!)

The purples are heavier so prob the other way around…
