I really like the Aria chips design, the colors, large denominations. But before I buy either a sample set, or complete 500 set, shipping it across the atlantic to europe with expensive shippings costs, pay extra customs taxes etc.. I would like to have some opinions from any user on the forums

Any pictures or videos and opinions would be very appreciated.

Thanks beforehand!

i got a sample of these. I'm relatively new to this whole world but I'm 99% sure they're a standard card mold ceramic from Tina. personally i preferred the colors of the empire card room chips Apache has (also a card mold ceramic). I'll try to take some close up pics later tonight; will try to accurately capture the colors. If you've ever handled any ceramic chips you'll know how they handle.

Thanks a bunch Nogbert! I have handled ceramics. But some ceramics have bad print on them, and some has a ”sanded” surface (which I really like, but these seem rare though).

So I’m really curious before I eventually buy two sample sets (Penthouse ceramics + Bank clay) for around $70 including shipping to sweden

Have a good day!

I also have a sample of the bank chips. I will try to get semi-macro close ups tonight to try and capture the texture/print quality (for the ceramics) of each! Personally I really like the bank chips over the penthouse in almost every way but i really am not a fan of the orange and tan spots on the 100 bank chip. im primarily looking for craps denoms (1,5,25,100,500,1000) and the 25 and 100 from "the bank" just arent my cup of tea colorwise. still a very strong contender for me though

I tried to capture the color
As best I could and did a side by side comparison of the bank chips too. The close ups are trying to show surface texture but it’s easier said than done. I will say the penthouse chips do not have the same matte finish that something like a tiki-king would have; don’t know if that’s the “sanded” finish you were describing before

Wow Nogbert, you really delivered. Thanks a bunch, I truly appreciate you shared this, much love

The Penthouse ceramics look of high quality in my eyes. I'm guessing the "matte" finish is what I called "sanded" finish. The only ceramics I've handled that has the matte finish are these from Bullets Playing Cards: https://bulletscards.de/products/keramik-poker-chips-richie-mit-werten-25er-rolle
I would call the Bullets ceramic chips of high quality.

1. Would you call Penthouse and Bank to be of high quality in your own opinion?
2. The Penthouse inlays are printed and not true inlays, correct?
3. Which one between Bank and Penthouse would you personally use, just focusing on handling?

Again, thanks Nogbert!

1. in my own opinion the card mold ceramics are high quality, but i am an uncultured noob when it comes to chips. they are undoubtedly much much better than any chip you can get at big-box stores or most game shops
2. correct the inlay design is printed directly on the chip
3. personally after several days of having samples of both I like The Bank chips more for handling but only by a tiny margin. Initially I was really really into the ceramic chips (empire cardroom; still love the colors and edgespot patterns on this line) so they are very close. still undecided which option i would go for for a set of 500-1000 though.
here is a comprehensive video about the bank chips that i found informative:
here is a short video of some other ceramic card mold chips being handled:
and a longer more in depth review of some cardmold chips:

Hopefully one our Euro members can hook you up with samples for less than $70.

If not, I can send you some for the cost of shipping (not Penthouse or Aria’s but the same type of chip).

I wouldn’t call them quality chips though. Decent chips that are fully customizable, and can be found for 30-50 cents each. But not a major jump up from other widely available chips.

I ended up buying some Bank samples, and I'm very pleased with them. The quility, finish, denominations, texture, design and weight are perfect for me. I will probably make a review in the future if I have the spare time. Gonna make an order for two whole cases in the future. Tournament + cash game denominations.

Also want to do a shoutout to @pokersepp and pokershop.de. It's the only place where us europeans can buy quality chips. Very well packaged, fast shipment (from Austria to Sweden in a couple of days only). Thanks a bunch!

@jimpalompa Im a Dutch guy too, so I know all too well about taxes and duties

To be honest, don't hand them your hard earned money over some chips.

Instead order your custom ceramic chips for less and very quick delivery (1.5 week!) from www.pokershop.de.

Very nice guy and perfect service! I bought a couple of custom ceramic sets:

I’m pretty sure the post above yours is the OP saying that he did just that!

These ceramics are awesome, very nice Holland Casino style chips (I sometimes go to the Venlo Casino:cool)
But my favourites are the Aria Style Rounders. Did you do the artwork by yourself?

Very nice card mold ceramics. Did you start the Aria Rounders from blanks? And are they getting to slickery to stack?

Hmmm... I can't figure out why these chips look so familiar...
