I bought some sample sets from several places online, including the Monte Carlo chips on Apache Poker Chips. I bought a few other samples on The Poker Store and I noticed that they also have Monte Carlo chips as well as a smoked version of them.

If I were to start buying chips to build a set, it appears that the shipping from Apache is a LOT higher than The Poker Store, and it really effects the total price of the chips, however I am leery of buying a large amount of chips from a site, if I've not sampled them (The Chip Cave Las Vegas chips, YUCK!). The quality of the samples I got from Apache (Monte Carlo chips) are great, is it safe to assume that the chips at The Poker Store are of equal quality as they are listed as smooth?

The samples I received from The Poker Store (Milano, Casino Royale, and Valentino) are of equal quality that I received from Apache, so I am assuming the Monte Carlo chips would be just as good from The Poker Store?

Does anybody have any experience buying from The Poker Store?

For cheap plastic chips and sluggos, go with The Poker Store. I've had nothing but great experiences with them.

Go with Apache if you want their custom line of China Clay (Royals and Majestics).

I bought a 325 chip cash and 325 chip tourney set from Apache (pharoahs) and absolutely love them. Did a lot of research around china clays vs other materials and for the price point they are amazing. I live in Canada and the selection here is much less than the USA so I splurged a little to get these first sets. If you end up stretching your budget beyond the 30 cents/per chip they are great. Good luck!

How bad was the damage shipping to Canada? I’m interested in some Apache chips I think (currently have outlaw metal slug chips)

How did you like the Outlaws? Those were almost my first chips.
Same here! IDK why but I dig the design. I went with Royals though, got samples of them and fell in love. Outlaws are much cheaper though. Considering getting a set just to have

I love my Paulsons and the ceramics. But I still think about those Outlaws though. I would want to label them.

I’m new to this whole world so I don’t have too much of a professional opinion but I love them! Great design and really nice feel! They’re fairly heavy but not the end of the world for my buddies and I

prices in Canada aren’t very good so I think they’re like 40¢ per chip when you buy a set of 500 but for some reason the rolls of 50 chips are like $1 a chip
Haven’t really gotten a price on Apache ceramics with shipping but they’ll be more for sure
I did find a deal on some 1k yellow outlaws and a guy on this forum sent me a 5¢ outlaw label so I’ll be building myself a micro stakes cash set in no time here

I have purchased a few times from ThePokerStore.com and have always had a great experience! If they carry chips that you are looking for, they are a top notch vendor to trust!

I bought monte carlos from Amazon here in Canada and the edges are quite sharp, not sure if theres a method to remove it but it kinda hurts, I heard that buying from a proper poker chip store you don't have this issue.
