So everywhere I look there out of stock. So what's the point of looking for something you can't buy?

They stopped producing Paulson chips for home use years ago. So there just aren’t any authorized resellers of Paulson chips because they don’t exist.
If you want Paulsons, your options are eBay or the classifieds and vendors here.
Apache poker chips usually has some Paulson sets in stock, so if you need some immediately, check out that site.

Just some perspective, before paulson shut us out I sold used classic's for 50c each and I felt dirty about it, now they sell for $3 each. So ya paulsons are spendy.

Very reasonable...

I might trade a table locally for a set but other than that I can pass...

I feel like you can make a small 8 person 2k tourny set with the uncirculated cinci chips for around $600

5 x 80 ($135.50)
25 x 80 ($119.20)
100 x 60 ($149.40)
500 x 40 ($159.60)
260 chips ($563.70)

8 players 10/10/7/2 2k starting stack with 12,400 left over for colorup and rebuys (2400 for colorup 5's and 25's and 10k for up to 5 rebuys)

All chips are new and mint, not too bad.

There’s a difference between can’t afford and not available. I will not be able to get any chips from the upcoming Chiproom sale but there will be 18 barrels of chips for sale / huge difference.

I didn't actually see any on tge site that I had an interest in. Here again if I did take an interest in a chip how long would it be available..

It seems that you don’t really know exactly what you want, which is okay. Instead of throwing everything against the wall to see what sticks I recommend taking some time to figure out what you do want. Once you have that down, start a WTB listing and I think you’ll have more success finding chips.

It's hard to know what you want when the availability can change at any moment.

I guess I better stick wit what I do know...

Look at what is/was for sale, figure out what you like and put up a wanted ad or wait till you spot it for sale. It’s not like chips are flying by your window and you can’t tell what’s for sale. Nothings sold out forever, most chips come up multiple times a year if not a month. As long as you have patience you can find just about anything in your price range.

Oh boy.

That’s why you need samples and to figure out what you like. This way you can pick up what you need as it becomes available.

Luckily this hobby is neither brain science or rocket surgery.

That's not how it works.....that's not how any of this works....

Nearly everything is available at a given price. Sometimes it takes several purchases to get what one needs or wants.

Good planning is essential, unless you have unlimited funds for an impulse buying spree.

And in case nobody's mentioned it yet, get samples. Best way in the world to save money on the long run.
