Straight Flush
Thank you to all in this forum for the info that has helped me improve and elevate my home game. I introduced tournaments into my home game this past summer after 7yrs+ of cash only games. We just finished our first tournament points based season and it was a big success. One thing we would like to change is the rebuy structure. Part of the initial desire to introduce tournaments was to neutralize the donkey play of one of the newest members who plays like cash is free. Last season we allowed only 1 rebuy regardless of level. However, because of the points involved it turned out that any of the points competitive players would rebuy regardless of level.
There is desire to cutoff rebuys at a specific level now. I am just unsure of the theory behind the determination of what level to use for the cutoff. Also, unlimited or limited rebuys? Also, would this change if we moved to a two table ~16 player game assuming all else is equal (we may open up a second table because we are turning people away)?
9 players, 10k + 1k bonus, ~3.5hrs
