So I’ve decided to do a full THC only replacement set, rather than another CPC set and I think I’m going to stick with the Maldives theme. Inlay for now is a draft placeholder. I’m going to wait till I have the chips to finalise it.

I want at least two chips in the set to be $1 vegas chips that I can harvest myself when I get there in May next year, as this will keep the cost down.

I was originally thinking the cdm 200 A’s a frac, but now wonder if it might make a nice $20, albeit It would ruin the spot progression.

This is what I have so far.

These are my current thoughts for the set.

I’m looking for thoughts and suggestions for different chips to improve the look.

I’m not so fussed on spot progression being correct on this set, since it’s going to be hard to find the right chips at reasonable prices, but I also don’t like the $25 in row 1.

The problem with row 2 is that I can’t possibly destroy a rack of aztar $25s.

I haven’t seen scandia 5s and cdm 200s in person, but I can’t imagine there would be a dirty stack issue. Who knows.

Row 2 in the first post. You could destroy St Jo’s $25s instead of Aztars, as the inlays are already overstamped. The Venetian $1s are relatively easy to harvest and fantastic chips.
Also your black chip is actually dark charcoal and has arc yellow not orange spots ;)

Those all look good enough to me that I wouldn't excessively worry about spot progression. Two chips from Vegas trip -- blue, and white -- will help keep costs down.

If you are worried about progression and don’t mind going blue for the frac and white for the one, the Paris and NYNY dollars work well together.

Maybe a Flamingo solid quarter instead of the Paris on the top lineup? Keeps you from repeating the same spot pattern.

The Hard Rock also has a nice solid blue $1. A little darker blue that might contrats even better with your white $1.

And another possible couple of lineups. Change the frac to hard rock, as per @BSteck suggestion. Are they harvestable?

I’m really stumped on the $20 or $25. Can anyone think of anything else that might work or be available.

would be cool if you use AS $20 and hundos or just AS $20 and custom $100 plaque. Would be so High roller.

It would be high roller, unfortunately my wallet doesn’t allow me to reach for such a status.

I’m now stumped on whether I should go for a Cali colour set and use the scandia as a frac, spot progression be damned.

How many racks of $5s does your game need?
it’s been pretty small before and we usually end up with under $1000 on the table.

With my new room and table almost ready, I’ve added some players from the casino to my list, so I’m expecting almost a full table buying in for $100 in the near future. I assume that more than half The table will be prepared to drop 3 buyins if necessary.

2 racks would just about be ok to start with (ive just about locked up 2 racks) because Australian casinos are like European casinos and players are used to having small stacks of $5s.

I’d like to get more racks in the future though.

Chips that can be had for your consideration:
Obviously the 4 queens are obsolete but good god, what a quarter relabel!!!

This just made me realize by using a blue live 1 as a quarter and a white live 1 as a dollar you could save boatloads. 5s are still ultra expensive but nice 25s are cheap and you already have 100s

No longer sure I can be bothered relabelling an entire set.
I might just do a mixed set with one of the two configurations below. This way I will just need to replace one rack of inlays on the Irish mikes.
