How well do the known good Paulson racks fit CPC FDL mold chips?
Not terrible, but not tremendously well. Best to go with 67.7 racks for anything CPC. The FDL mold is even an outlier among CPC chips due to their slightly larger diameter, thus the chips don't fully rest in the bottom of most "good" racks.

I borrowed one of these racks from a casino today. It is slightly shorter than the other casino racks I've seen (just marked "66.7" on the bottom)

The (Paulson) chips sit in the rack just fine, but the spacing is a little different so it may not be ideal for stacking with other racks that are not exactly the same. It's the first one of these I've seen at this particular casino, but the fit of the chips sitting in the rack is comparable to all of the other casino racks I've used.

Got an email from Bob Morell yesterday. Says the 39mm '4200' racks are in stock. Originally I was told they were $3.25 each, but he changed the price to $3.50. Still going to order some. He says just call him directly to place your order. Ask for Bob or Kathy. 702-649-5002. Plan on placing my order next week.

The Unique 4200 rack is the exact same rack as the Paulson 24010. Worn RHC chips will be loose in this rack. I could fit a quarter in the gap. As well as worn THC chips like the Horseshoe 1's. Seems like my older THC (Golden Broken Arrow) Chips fit perfect as well as mint pip's mold Private Cardroom chips. Here are some pics of the 2 racks.

With regard to worn RHC chips, can you fit a chip spacer to make them tight or is the gap too small?

Don't own any chip spacers, but I can measure the gap for you. On a side note, I just got a mint barrel of Horseshoe cleveland $500's (secondaries) and they are super tight in the rack. So I guess it really depends on how worn out the chips are. At work now, but ill put my caliper on it when I get home tonight.

Great. Thanks. I need some better racks so I'm trying to decide on these or Apache Chipcos.

Took some measurements of the rack with a cheap Harbor Freight digital caliper. Length of the inside is 66.65mm. Measured barrels (20) of my horseshoe chips. $1's = 65mm, $5's = 64.3mm, $25's = 64.2mm, $100's = 64.4mm & $500's (mint secondary) = 66.7mm. Had to squeeze that mint $500 barrel to fit. A quarter's thickness measures 1.70mm and a dime 1.40mm. So the gaps are $1's = 1.65mm, $5's = 2.35mm, $25's = 2.45mm, $100's = 2.25mm & $500's = none. These numbers will vary based on different conditions of wear of your particular chips & how hard you squeeze the barrel. Just gives you a rough idea of what to expect. Hope this helps.

This helps a lot. Thanks for taking the time to do this.

I don't think this has been asked, but what does he charge for shipping on these racks? Reasonable?

No problem. Hopefully I'll find out today. I plan on giving them a call later today to place my order.

Cool. Let us know how it goes and what the best process will be for contacting them to order.

Just got off the phone with Kathy. Had all my info and knew who I was when I called. I placed an order for 30 - 39mm racks. Said she would get my order together and ship it out today. She didn't know how much shipping was going to cost and did not know anything about the discount's. She referred me back to Bob for the discount info. Feel free to email him at bobm@unique-enterprises.com if someone wants to inquire about placing a larger order. I didn't want to scare her off with too many questions. My take is that this company regularly deals with Casino's and commercial clients, who probably don't ask or care about shipping fee's and discounts. She did say she would call me back and let me know how much the total would be...I'll be sure to let everyone know. It will be shipped UPS ground. So the size, weight and location would account for the shipping cost. I'm assuming the closer you are to Vegas the cheaper it would cost you.

Just got my invoice from Kathy at Unique. For my order of 20 racks, the total was ~ $95. Seventy for the racks and ~$25 shipping via UPS (to NY).

Got my invoice as well. Shipping for 30 racks was $31.... Oh well, at least I know I will be happy with the product. Anyone know what Apache, PGI or Spinettis charge for shipping?

Yes, I am also satisfied with this as long as the racks turn up OK. They are not a retail-oriented business and we basically have to be happy with their standard UPS shipping option.

Damn!!! I just priced 30 racks of chipcos from Apache and it said $17 to ship. And I only need 10. Not going to pay that much for shipping. Wow...

I just ordered 30 chipco racks from PGI, shipping was $25

Good to know. Pretty bummed about the shipping fee's, but like @superchromix said they don't normally deal with retail customers.

My order should be here tomorrow. Considering Paulson chip racks are nearly impossible to find and I don't feel comfortable "borrowing" them I am hoping for the best.

Can Paulson chip racks be purchased from PGI?

Nope. Genuine Paul-son branded racks can only be purchased through GPI, who to my knowlege does not sell their racks to consumers like you and me. Casino's only.

Well, I relieved the Rack 4200 today from Unique Enterprise and I must say that they are pretty damn good. Not exactly Paulson but close enough for me and I'm picky as hell.

Side by side comparison Unique vs. Paulson. I did notice that the Rack 4200 does not have notches on the undersides so when stacked the bottom of the rack is quite a bit wider than the chips underneath. This is good in that you will be less likely to damage the sharp edges of the underlying chips but bad in that your stacks of racks will be less stable.
