Welcome! The group buys can be overwhelming and I suggest you take it slow. Read up on previous group buys and get a sense of how things run - especially if you've never experienced a group buy before (perhaps on a different forum or community). If it all fails, you can always post the question on the thread or DM the group buy lead.

Welcome to PCF. It is overwhelming when one first comes into this site, so many chip options, from reasonably priced group buy chips to expensive Casino style chips.
It is difficult to not lighten the wallet with these choices.
Group buys will give you nice looking chips at a value top be sure. @justincarothers (Broken Arrow) offers a really nice selection, and his prices are exactly as shown and described on his first page of his monthly group buys. Use the search and enter group buy, and that will show you the ones running at the present time.
I purchased my no mold chips from him, and I love them. They match my Poker room theme.
What I have found is the players at my game really don't care about the chips that are used, so get what you like.
I'm positive that my guys would have no issues playing poker using various coloured shirt buttons
