Hi All,

I came here and joined to educate myself on a set of Paulson chips I own. I see Casino De Isthmus in several different styles. I'm not sure exactly when I bought these, other than after I was married (1994) and before my son was born (2000) Can anyone offer advice on what I have? Are these the first set of these chips that came out?

These are the Paulson THC CDI 98 (the best version for a lot of members here)
If you want to sell them you will have some buyers here

Those are CDI98s and are the first (and IMO best) version of those chips. If any of your $5s have the shaped inlay like pictured below I would be interested in discussing possible trade or purchase.

Excellent set! I own about 6000 of these, myself.

You should keep them and put them in play. Current market value is several thousand dollars for Ex+ condition chips.

I bought these when I thought player poker with friends could be a regular thing. Then we all had kids and that went out the window. I have probably only used them less than 10 times. They have sat in a box, under my bed for many years.

Do I leave them as is? Is it worth it to clean and oil them if I decide to sell?

If you're set on selling, then you can sell as is. Some buyers may be fairly particular and prefer to clean the chips themselves.
