New member, looking for chip recommendations for mixed boardgame/poker use (1 Viewer)

Hi all! Joined to look for options for a set to use for both board games (mostly 18xx for now) and the occasional cash game. Was considering getting some broken arrow samples, but any other recommendations for what to check out?

Also any opinions on denominations of 20s in addition to 25s?

Apache sells a set called Bank especially for 18xx games. I believe they are China clay? That or ceramic. Tina hybrids are great if you want a custom set. As for $20 vs $25, its a matter of preference and either works. When it comes to poker, tournaments usually use 25 and cash usually use 20 (because $20 bills). If you are doing board games, most board games use 20 instead of 25, but its up to you. My custom set has both. I did 25 in forest green and 20 in lime green.

I did order a few sample sets from Apache (Mirage, Pharaoh, Majestic, Royal, Empire) - was looking at the Bank set but samples were sold out, and the aesthetic looks just OK to me - for the cost of the group buys I see here, it seems custom would be just as good way to get 20s if I decide to get them.
