Hey guys, new member here. Thanks in advance for having me. I read the guidelines and realized I need to actually contribute before I can use the marketplace. Normally, I am just a lurker in any forum/reddit thread but here we go. Thought I would tell you guys about when and why I started playing poker. Covid... what a rough time. Prior to this, I was playing beer league hockey with the boys, twice a week and drinking afterwards in the parking lot. Covid hits and the rinks shut down. Months go by without seeing/BS'ing with the boys. No camaraderie. Until someone has the great idea to start a P*.net table and video conference everyone. Our weekly poker game got me through covid. Now, we play maybe three times a year in person but we see each other every week for hockey and beers in the lot. Thanks for reading and hope you are doing well.

Defenseman by trade. Do you play?
I did late in high school and the first part of college once I got a car. Then I realized it was nicer to have a girl ride shotgun than a smelly gear bag; the girls smelled better. Then I tore a knee up trying to play rec league hoops and stopped. My roommate right after college played roller, tried that and realized I was already a has-been with no appreciable speed. Discovered poker around that time, and now here I am hemorrhaging money.

Welcome! Poker as a whole took a huge upswing during COVID. Did I play poker nooooo. I thought getting cancer and having chemo was a better thing to do. Haha.
