I recently picked up some Legends of the West $5 chips that needed some TLC. I decided I would try to label them as fractionals. I ordered some thin film labels and just got my samples back. The order was a little messed up from Avery Labels (they left some white border around the edge). I’m just trying to get some opinions before I end up ordering more. I think once they are fixed they will be pretty nice. Since they are not going to be chips from the actual set any longer, I decided to use the fictional character Blondie from the Good the Bad and the Ugly. Special thanks to @OhDanzu for helping me with the design, he did an awesome job!

That looks great. No spinners?

They are still recessed below the edges and super thin labels. I wasn’t sure how they were going to work out but it does not effect stacking what so ever and aside from the border issue I’m very happy with the results.

Avery sent replacement labels and the borders are still messed up. It’s getting better but I’m thinking of eliminating the border on the edge all together.

yeah trying to get a thin line like that to match exactly to the cut line will be impossible. Better to have the image bleed past the cut line so there’s no space when cut.

I’ll probably order another small batch without the border to just make sure but that seems to be the way to go. It will probably be easier to line up too. Might look a little cleaner.

Congrats on your great idea. Man, I LOVE these! Just awesome "Legends of the West" fantasy chip. You could do more old west characters, there have to be more than enough to fill a full set of denoms. I'm a big fan of Clint Eastwood and old westerns. Really creative and a tribute to Clint, GREAT JOB on these!

Excellent suggestion. That will likely be your best solution.

The white on the outside of the boarder is tilting =) but I like everything else

I remember Claridge casino in Atlantic City had a set similar to these. Wild West guys Soapy Smith, Doc Holiday, etc. The chips looked similar. Did you see them?

Oscargambles,
Great idea on legends. I have some of the legends also. Would you be able to mail me a sample (2 labels - ur latest batch). I would gladly pay for sample/postage.
The Duke ;John Wayne might be an option
Thx in advance.
