I vote for V3 with the solid center... reason being, I think it's best to avoid busy patterns in the area where the pot/flop will be played.

V3. I might also suggest that you really look at the spacing of the betting line. I might be in a minority on this one but I wish I had a little more space for chips, not much more just seems too tight to me when playing.

If you really want a solid area outside the betting line, #2 would be fine, especially if you have a dedicated dealer.

If the pattern is subtle enough, even #1 works.

The outside track is the party area with whimsical symbols on the felt. Shuffle your chips and watch the fun and games.

Once the chips move to the central arena, it is deadly serious and they play for keeps.

Meanwhile, the Caesar, who is keeper of the chips, watches all with glee.
