Came to the conclusion that these are either fake or some early prototypes. I do like the cases these come in.

Anyone have some more information on these “Vintage” chips.

yeah someone posted these on eBay or craigslist a few months back.
another user mentioned they are plastic injected fakes or something along those lines. you can tell by those holes within the a few hats.
Yeah, i noticed that too, from the aging on these, it appears fakes have been around for a while.

Unless they've been baking in the sun for a summer for the "Aging" look.

I’ve seen these called Hat No Cane around here, so there should be more info available via search. They are cheap, injection-molded plastic chips.

These were made for sale in souvenir shops in vegas. There was another version (packaged in the same box) that had house mold logos from some casinos. I think they literally took impressions from paulson house mold chips, though I doubt they had permission: best pic I can find (from antiquegamblingchips.com)

Obviously not worth much. They are very light, no slugs, but the plastic is actually really nice. Almost a ceramic feel with a matte finish. Maybe ABS with a surface treatment or lots of filler? They don't feel like any other injection molded chip that I know of. They'd shuffle great if they weren't so light.

Both versions come up on eBay often. I have some that I use as lammers.
