Since I'm retired Army and a majority of my regs are either fellow Army retirees, veterans or currently serving on active duty at nearby Fort Leavenworth/Fort Riley and I have some Pacific Island blood running through my veins, named my poker room "The Hale Koa Poker Room."

In Hawaiian, Hale Koa translates to "House of the Warrior." Also borrowed the idea from the actual Hale Koa Hotel on Waikiki Beach, which is exclusive to military members and their families.

The generic entrance sign definitely needs some work, but it will do for now since my Army-themed table is the centerpiece. Will eventually get some custom chips one day.

P.S. To @Seeking Alpha Social Club and @CraigT78: We have the occasional former Navy, Marines, Air Force or Coast Guard folks at games, so you two former Sailors are more than welcome and have a spot to splash some pots if you're ever in the greater KC metro area.
Thank you very much for the AWESOME invite!! And the feeling is mutual if you are ever in VA. Although, just a heads up, we have too many damn Marines...LOL!! :)

Craig man that room looks fantastic brother!! Are those both 84" tables? Guessing you go 9 max per table here? The rails look super comfy too, along with gasser chairs and all of your players should feel like they are at the spa in the 4 seasons man!! Wow

Also any noobs please take not to the dedicated corner of the room with the obligatory hot dog roller! A true thing of beauty!!

Truly hope we can make it down and join you some time brother!!
Yes sir, 84" tables. We squeeze 10 around them for league nights, but I much prefer 8.
Also there is a lot of potential not to loose here man!! That losers lounge does not look like the place to be!! More like time out for the kids of the drunk dude that spills a beer on your purdy tables!! The couch again comfy but damn the leg space sucks!! Especially for larger dudes! Is there even a light in there or just "go sit in the dark cramped corner and think about what you did!!" Lmao sorry I had to!
Lol, that's just the storage space for the tables and chairs  :ROFLMAO: I shove the couch there on poker nights. The first out will usually sit there in shame while waiting for the cash game to start.

Lmao I figured all of that! Brilliant!! Can't wait to get back to normal poker man! Also hope there is a hotel in town, would love to come join sometime... but guessing there is a wait list?

For @krafticus he runs 36 players, when he send out the email sometimes it is filled up in under an hour (he usually saves a seat for some of us) but it's pretty bad man!!

Definitely love to join in sometime as long as it's not the same night you invite @MatB .... we have all herd the stories of you two and I am not on that level!!

@moose I apologize sir as I am still new. I have never seen your custom line up. Are they all HS on the CSQ mold? Amazing chip brother!! I expected Moose lodge or casino... but "Chip Emporium" absolutely priceless sir!!

Add trip to Canada to play at the "Moose Casino and Chip Emporium" to the bucket list!!

In general I have found that the players at my game appreciate the customization/personalization of the name and theme more than the quality of the chips and other elements. Granted my game is a social/beer league type game and not hyper competitive poker (we go to the local casinos for that), but I am honestly surprised more people on PCF don't have group names etc. or use them as strongly.

There is always a waitlist for the league game nights, but I will always host a pickup game for an out of town guest. Several PCFers have made their way to the Windy Crest Poker Room, some win, but all has had a good time. Can't wait for covid to be over so my room can go back to smelling like stale beer and day old cigar smoke.

I have a group of 6 close friends, we play poker regularly. At some point the name "Del Longo Casino" became kinda the joke name, because one friend's last name is Longo and we live close to the Del Lago Casino in NY. For his birthday we got him a custom set of ceramics from ABC. This is the best photo of the chips I can find at the moment.

The name of the game alternates between "Athenian Owl Club" and "Horseshoe Pesta 1895" at the whims of the local self-appointed gang of degens, and, ultimately, myself
So, it's either

or

Experience has shown that best results can only be achieved under the aegis of His All Passionateness, Saint John William Coltrane, while listening to his prayer-tunes.:)

Been playing with the same group for 16 years now. After a trip to Vegas where Paris was our favourite casino my home became the...

******Parris Luxury Resort and Casino*******

Parris being my surname and my rickety old beat up kitchen table and chairs being anything but a luxury resort...
It became a running joke and my friends started tagging themselves on Facebook and it grew from there. Now we’ve got 2000 limit chips and a couple of dealer buttons with a cash set currently being built. Talk about taking a joke too far  :ROFLMAO:

Heated seats would solve that problem

ha, you joke, but it's a carryover from my old house when we used to play in my finished but unheated basement. and we had one dude who used to bring his own mini space heater that he would keep at his feet and wear fingerless gloves  :ROFLMAO: the beaver though is just a reference to a little stuffed beaver that has moved all my houses with me and is always stashed somewhere up high near the poker table.

I was in the process of having them made but monkeydog stopped answering my emails. Without my knowledge he had the stamps made and then they got transferred to @AK Chip when he sold all his hotstamping equipment. AK made that one as a practice chip. I hope to get a full set made on the Roman mold in the new year.

My room doesn't have an official name. it goes by several.
My league games are referred to by PPL Games. When we first started our league many moons ago someone coined us "Poorfessional Poker Players" and we kinda ran with it. Any more we just use PPL, which isn't quite as corny

Since my name is Bill the Bill's Gamblin Hall relabel and sign fit perfect.
This sign is at the bottom of my stairs heading to the poker room

Since my last name starts with D, sometimes my house is referred to as "The D's", so.....

Note that one key to having multiple custom sets is that you name each component of your setup - club/league name (ie group of people), room name, overall establishment. Affords for lots of creative opportunity ;)

We don't have a name for the group, but I usually try to give each tournament a name. Three that stand out are:

The March Mega Money Maker Madness

The River Rat Royal Rumble

The Last Chance Pre-Baby Poker Extravaganza
(This was the last tourney before the birth of my first child. I made everyone aware that there wouldn't be that much poker in the upcoming years)
