- AUCTION GUIDELINES
- The highest bid at the closing time listed above will win. If there is a bid within 5 minutes of the closing time (original or extended closing time), 5 minutes shall be added to the time of the last bid, until there are no bids within the final 5 minutes. Because seconds are not displayed on post timestamps, these examples will be used as a reference.
- No Reserve. The Starting Bid of this auction will be treated as the Reserve Price.
- Bids must be placed in whole US dollars, following the specified minimum increment amounts. The use of the dollar sign is optional. Bids using images or spelled out numbers are not valid.
- All bids are to be placed openly in this thread. No bids via Private Message/Convo. Sellers are not permitted to bid on their own auctions.
- The seller reserves the right to edit the listing to clarify statements or correct any errors.
- Once a valid bid is made, the auction can not be canceled. Bid edits and/or retractions are not permitted. Violations of this rule will result in discipline at the discretion of PCF Admins and/or Moderators.

N.W. Gold Rush Finger: Paulson Diamonds Are Forever
About the chips:
Up for auction is an absolute time capsule: 100x classy old school solid hot stamped Northwest Gold Rush (White Center, WA - 1960s) Paulson Light Blue Diamond Mold leaded $1 chips. These chips appear to be brand new to me, with only minor flaws that I think are probably from handling. The hot stamps are bright, and the chips and the original Paulson blue box (INCLUDED in this sale) are still chalky. Some chips have a small degree of warping from being hot stamped (see the photos). Average weight is about 10.1 grams/chip.
Have any of you even seen these before? I couldn’t bring myself to ever put these chips in play.
@suited67 - These might actually be from 1967, though being honest, if I had to place a bet, it would be on 1968, as I don’t think Paulson got the Diamond Mold until then.
The auction winner will have the OPTION to buy a second rack in identical condition at the same price as the winning bid (photos of the 2nd rack would of course be provided). The second rack would also include an Paulson blue box in which the chips were originally shipped. Get the second rack, because You Only Live Twice.
BTW... Rumors that Sean Connery once played with these chips have NOT been confirmed.
Please look at all the photos carefully, and zoom in to judge condition for yourself BEFORE bidding!
Chips in the Original Shipping Box:
Perfect Fit in a Paulson Rack:
0˚ Rotation:
180˚ Rotation (note small nick in leftmost bbl, and slight wear on chip in 2nd bbl from left):
Chips with their original Paulson box, still with chip dust inside (photo 1):
Chips with their original Paulson box (photo 2):
Chip Face Closeup - Side 1:
Chip Face Closeup - Side 2:
“Wow Doc. That’s heavy.”
