I am posting this in case anyone wants some tips. I’ve built over a dozen tables and each build I wish I’d done something just a little different. So, if you have specific questions, fire away! Be happy to help if I can. I’m just an enthusiast and my last builds predate LEDs and the like. So, I had to knock some rust off. But, I honestly love this table significantly more than the BBO custom Lumer table I got a few months ago, fwiw.

I wish I’d done a better job keeping notes and posting along the journey, but it is what it is. And I did things a bit different from any builds I found here or on YouTube, for specific reasons.

First, I didn’t want rail cup holders. Not a fan. I also have a table with race rails with the cup holders located there. Pain in the ass for the dealer and kind of in the way, also imo. Most of the time, I use a drink cart or a nearby table or cup holder near the table, which there are many. So, I decided I’d use slide under the rail cup holders. I used 1/4 sheet of plywood and wrapped it in blue liner (like for jackets, etc from a fabric store just because it’s slick) as the bottom layer of inner rail so cup holders easily slide in or out. Very nice for short handed games.

Secondly, I wanted a raised rail, but nothing crazy high. I didn’t want to use ribs, as it would force me to do an acrylic diffuser or something like it. So, I just bumped my rail by an extra 3/4 inch.

I also have since designed new logos for my poker room. Everything is now centered around a lions head in my poker room. My chip inlays on sets of customs I’ve ordered and received with a killer set ready to order as soon as CPC is taking orders again. So, that meant new felts. I had Gorilla Games do that. I had the vector files, so it was a snap. And they did a great job. (I’m building another table with folding legs for MTTs, it will be my 4th table for use). So the new felts not only cover this new table, but will replace the felts on the other tables.

Initially this was going to be an easy/simple build. But, as I started along, I got more and more excited and the simple one will be next. I decided to go all out. Bought a Deckmate from @minedelta, for example. I use shuffle techs on my other tables, but have had the nagging voice of wanting the Deckmate, at least on my main table.

Anyway, enough rambling. Here’s some pics.

Really nice work  Congrats !
And thanks for pics :cool

I actually like the slimmer look of the table you built a lot more than the other. Fantastic work.

Outstanding work!!!

Where did you get the base?
And do you have a good pic of the cup holders that slide underneath?

In this case, I found black Melvin pedestal legs on closeout from BBO poker for $149/piece and for that price, you can’t even buy the lumber, so I bought a pair and put them on the BBO table and took the existing base from it. However, since then, I found another company out of Texas that sells the exact base unfinished for $370, which is a steal compared to the $999 most other places want, and again…even if you have all of the right equipment in your workshop, lumber is so high, it’s tough to buy lumber for less than $370. I’m including some pics. The slide under cup holders were super cheap on amazon. They do have some jagged weld spots when you buy them, so beware. It took maybe 5 mins to Dremel them all smooth so they wouldn’t snag my felt, so easy fix for half price cup holders. Just make sure you don’t slap them on your table before checking.

Notice the brown Melvin pedestal legs are a grand vs the black lacquer finish is $149….crazy.

Not sure if this will work, but here’s a video I just recorded today. I’m selling the blue table in the middle of the video, as I’m making a clone of the newest table I just completed. I need the room, so the middle table was the oldest/drew the short straw, if you will. Anyway, I still have a few dozen things to do before I call this room complete. And then I’ll likely move so I can start over. lol

Gorgeous table! Congrats. Custom Jeremy by a mile. It’s not even close.
It was said before: your players don’t know how good they’ve got it

Thanks everyone. Tonight we broke her in. Bought in for $200. Could have been much better, but I’m quite happy. Especially with the table. Played beautifully.

Awesome table! When's the next game? :)
7/26! Will be hosting a MTT with 24-27 players, probably cap it at 24. I like extra elbow room with eight players per table plus the dealer. Cash games to follow as players bust out. I am old, so I much prefer the freeze out tournaments with larger buy-ins, but these smaller MTT turbos make the younger players happy and I’ll just shove away until I get a nice stack or have enough for a cash game. lol

Awesome stuff- where's the table fabric from?
Gorilla Gaming. Full transparency, their customer service and communication could easily be improved. I sent them the artwork and still had to argue back and forth, as they didn’t agree with my choices. When I followed their instructions to the letter on re-ordering an additional and identical felt, they managed to screw that up and blame me. I sent a screenshot of their instructions and instead of simply owning they’d made a mistake, they still tried to twist it and make it somehow my fault that I followed their instructions. Anyway, they did an outstanding job on the felt. I’m confident in their products. Just wish people in 2025 ran their businesses the way we collectively expected businesses to be ran pre-covid. But, I’m just a grumpy old man yelling on my porch, I suppose.

I gave the extremely abridged version fwiw lol
