I'm putting together a mixed cash set here. THC is the main connector for the chips.

I'm having a hard time finding a quarter with a label. I'm thinking to use a snappe and just announce that the $2.50 means 25c. (Twenty dollar chip instead of twenty-five is being used)

Any thoughts or experiences with this using a snapper for a quarter?

That's good to hear @bernielomax .

From afar, meaning not having chips in hand, it seems like it could work.
Maybe I just get more chips and see for myself.

I’ve used snappers as quarters in a few games and none of my players had any problems trying to play them for face value or getting confused about which denom they were. And my guys like to drink and are easily distracted! Helps that $2.50 is not a common denom increment.

I use my Diamond Jack snappers as fracs and haven't bothered relabeling. Usually the first hand or so a new player will ask if they are actually $2.50 and is a little concerned the stakes are much bigger than $0.25/0.50, but a Quick explanation and there is never a problem.
