I've kicked the idea around ever since I first saw Pelican & Nanuk cases used for chip cases to use Milwaukee Packouts. Kaizen Foam is so much better than the pluck foam in the other cases. The only difference is no foam on the lid which is easily added. I'm going to make 1 case soon I was just curious if there's anyone out there who's done it before and if so maybe help me avoid mistakes they made. If you're unaware, Milwaukee Packouts stack & lock together typically used in trades for tools & parts. I have dozens and two that I can spare for this experiment. Small organizer is 15"x10"x5" so that's an easy 800. Large case is 20"x15"x5". 2 small cases fit on top of 1 large. There are other cases & configurations and wall mounts and rolling boxes & drawers its endless lol. I'll be working on this soon.

Is there a name to this box as part of the set or do they go by measurements?
Are you thinking standard racks or those new octagonal enclosed ones?

Most have a name like "Small Parts Organizer"

Closed racks like Justin sells on here or Apache.

Following.

As an alternative, I’ve been using a Packout dolly with two sets of their drawer units stacked to manage chip bank at games.

My process:

1. Pull whatever chip set I’m gonna use for a game
2. Distribute chip denom’s between drawers (usually $1’s on top, $5’s in middle, $25’s and $100’s in drawer 3
3. Then I use the bottom drawer unit for keeping card setups, extra racks, other misc supplies

I bought this setup the other day, stole the floor model for a ridiculous clearance price at the store. The lower drawers will hold 2400 39mm chips in standard racks with the upper 3 drawers on the lower unit holding up to 1600 36mm chip or 800 39mm chips....the lower rack of the upper unit will hold 6 racks of 36mm chips or with Justin's racks 6 racks of 39mm with just one side of the tray. Likewise the upper drawers hold 36mm in a half tray also. I plan to store my HSI primary and a 36mm cinci and majestic star ncv sets in this unit for now with the ability to swap out to my sloth club chips as needed. Plenty of room for cards and accessories l. It wheels around and is very solid. I have used the same unit in hospital practise as a resuscitation cart with med supplies etc....they are very durable and stable. The rubber wheels also protect your floors.

I’ve actually had that setup in the past using the aluminum tool box and 1000ct chip tray’s.
Now I use the Milwaukee packout as my chip storage for my home game. I have it set up for 3k chips 5 drawers at 600 in each.

Teach me how to do this. This is exactly what I want to do
