I think the horseshoe theme has been done and done and done. The beach has been done as well.
I would like a lighthouse theme maybe. It’s nautical, summery. Every place where there is water have lighthouses...

Not being from the west coast means that someone can’t want a Cali set? You’re not fromVegas and still want a Vegas color set right? :)
1- A lot of players on the east coast, arent familiar w yellow fives and black $25s....
2- Thats right. Im not from Vegas.
But Vegas colours are standardized accross north america, other than California.
3- Does it hurt to design 5 denoms in both colours? You can get your Cali set, and I can get my Vegas set.

Ok? Thanks

What sets other that the current Matsui GB and Sunfly Burros are you referring to? I can't remember other sets.

These are all obvious. I just don’t like when people make too many assumptions, such as you assuming that I’d get a set of these. Maybe i’m Interested in the design but not in the market for these

Inner ring? If not, they charge art fees per denom. With the inner ring, it wouldn’t matter getting Vegas and Cali colors. Also, the 700 series will be 39.75mm. They told me they didn’t want to mill it down to 39mm because they are worried of losing the spots.
I thought I was going to get square edges, but they came a bit beveled.

well I was referring to both of those as well as the Paulson Cleveland and Cincinnati GBs and chips they are still around. They aren’t customs obviously but redoing stuff we keep seeing seems a little tired to me. Might just be me tho.

This is what I was told by a sales rep. To be honest it sounds a little far-fetched but maybe it is accurate:
Not confirmed, but I think they are shaved down from 43mm or larger. They would definitely save money on the mold costs. Also, the spots on the 43mm and 40mm seems to be the exact same, except they extend further out on the 43mm - same space for the inner ring and decals.
The edges have to be milled anyway to get rid of the injection ports.

Hows that?

I don’t think you can have 2 edge spot colors and square edges. I could be wrong. But that is my current working hypothesis. I am not working on chip design any further myself, until there is clarification on this.

We know for a fact that the CC.310-? molds (where ? is B, C, D, E, H, I, J & L) have sharp edges since they were used for the Horseshoe GB. It would not be too much of a stretch to assume that the CC.320 molds can also have sharp edges since they are very similar just with two colours but that's not a given.

I'm assuming that an inner ring mold is desired for a cash set otherwise it'll get silly expensive with the huge art fees for each different label. There looks to be only one CC.310 mold and a couple of CC.320 molds that have potential.

It seems feasible to do a cash set with CC.320-E for the lower denoms, CC-310-K for mid and CC.320-D two colour for the higher ones.

I do not think it is safe to assume cc.320 has square edges.

Hows that?
If anyone likes these, perhaps we can send the images to Matsui and ask to confirm that we can get these w square edges. If yes, we finish design.

I wish I could get answers from Matsui. I have been unsuccessful.

I'm a little nervous about running a group buy, because if they tell me that the edges will be square, and then they come back with beveled edges...what happens then??

Ask for samples of the specific molds.

Matsui really has been very difficult to work with. Since January 12th, I've been trying to find out which molds are available with square edges. Isn't it a little concerning that this question can't be answered??
