For my first set of chips I'm planning to relabel some 43mm CC's that I like the colors of. I'm building a cash set with denominations 1, 5, 20, and 100, the label design isn't finished but it will have a black background. These are the chips I have to work with (or as close as I could get in the design tool):

I'm set on the 1s being blue and the 100s being red, purple, or black, everything else is up in the air. The color combo I'm currently leaning towards is this (left to right 1, 5, 20, 100):

Thoughts on this progression? Given these chips what would be your preferred colors? I've been staring at these nonstop and getting in my head so any outside opinions would be much appreciated.

I guess I'm just a boring fuddy-duddy traditionalist, but I think I'd go Aqua 1, Blood Red 5, Arc yellow 20, Black 100. Then with maybe a different spot on the red other than yellow since a yellow would then be on three chips in a row (maybe a purple spot since it's within your current color scheme). Gives a pretty decent light/dark/light/dark lineup.

*Edit* Whoops - just realized that you're relabeling existing chips so changing spots is not an option. Reading is hard.

So being constrained to the existing chips, here's what I'd do. Still gives a traditional'ish vibe to a red'ish $5 and still gives a pleasing for me light/dark/light/dark lineup.

Haha all good, I wish the edge spots on the red were different too. As is I'm definitely on the fence about the red because of that, I'm a fan of those purple ones though.

Thanks, I like this lineup, especially the contrast of the purple and yellow. I assume the light/dark/light/dark is to minimize confusion between neighboring denominations? I was originally thinking about going light to dark for low to high denoms, but it sounds like alternating might be a better idea.

Exactly - especially helps out any color-blind players you have in your game.
