What are the chips used at The Bicycle Casino in LA: Matsui's, Bud Jones, or something else?

Maybe the $100s are from an older Paulson chip series, but were in much less use so have lasted longer and kept in circulation compared to the lower denoms, which then got replaced by long-lasting plastics?

Chipguide shows Bud Jones $100s that match the rest of the other chips so not sure why.

Either they’re not speed chips or extremely broke in because BJ V7’s as everyone knows, are tricky to shuffle to say the least.

The players on Live at The Bike don’t seem to have that problem! Lol

I've never had trouble with Bud Jones v7's at any casino... They break-in too, and casinos break them in faster. They get sunction-y in home games, tho.

The $100's shown in that pic and whatever that bland chip is in front of them don't even appear on the chip Guide.

The Bike and The Gardens had only Paulson chips in play not that many years ago.

When the Bike switched to BJ I asked a floor man what kind of chips they were and I was told Matsui (erroneously)
Personally I’m not a fan, they have that “suction” effect where the chips seem slick and get stuck together and it’s a pain to cut out a bet from your stack.

The Gardens switched to some BJ variation as well, only replacing the Paulson $1s and $5s in the last 3-5 years. I’m not sure which version the Gardens uses but they are worlds better in feel and playability compared to the Bike (more of a matte feel, no suction effect)

Both casinos use a Paulson $100 white chip, The Gardens $100 is my profile picture and they are both extremely sweet. I’m planning on biting the Bikes $100 for my CPC set.

The $100s in the poker room are the awesome house mold white 4d18414, never seen another chip with these spots, the $100s for the pit/table games are BJ with orange spots. The rest of the rack is Bud Jones throughout, got to play there for the first time Sat night, the $100s are sweet, wish I could’ve hung onto a few.

I’m partial, the bike was the first card room I played poker in. First hundred chip I cashed in was the same.

I’m not really sure what it is. Maybe using the same pink in both the 18 and 14 spots makes it look not symmetrical or something. Just drives me crazy.

Was at Gardens this morning...those oversized $100's are so sick. Can't lie, I get jealous when I see the big ballers walking around with full racks of them at the Baccarat tables. I still don't understand why the table games don't have the 1k's and 5k's out when there are usually full tables of players betting no less than 1k in 100's.
