You disgust me.I only want you fried, and that makes me ashamed, but it’s who I am.

Isn’t it safe to assume most people have you on ignore by now? LolOh trust me, they care. TCR was a significant revenue source for them. I’m waiting patiently to get flamed here and via PM.
There is a thread to bitch about flippers/flipping.The flippers got y’all here. It’s not like y’all weren’t warned - for years, like many, many times. All y’all that harped on “hey market prices free market system I’m free to sell at whatever price I waaaant” - this is what happens when it stops being hobbies and starts being individual businesses.
Jim would be crazy not to do auctions for sets and rare racks now, and just do normal sales for massive amounts of chips as he normally does.
Or, just do auctions and sell the big lots to Apache where he’ll sell them to us via his retail store over time.
Thanks flippers!
Based on the feedback I get, actually, no.Isn’t it safe to assume most people have you on ignore by now? Lol
You disgust me.
I don’t think these auctions are solely a result of people flipping chips. I’m sure it just makes the most sense based on quality and quantity. Btw I hope these chips sell for $30 a piece and Jim becomes the next Andrew Tate.I’m not idly complaining about it but it is worth mentioning here that the auctions TCR is doing is quid-pro-quid for the flipping. I think that’s fair game in this thread. If not the mods are free to smite me.
The odd part is, at meetups we are genuinely nice to each other. We really are Statler and Waldorf of PCFBergs and Kifer. Best buds. Who knew.
You are, however, an animatronic
Show the Pr0nI have some $5K wine in my chip cabinet
Statler and Waldorf would seriously be our best possible life. The odd part is, at meetups we are genuinely nice to each other. We really are Statler and Waldorf of PCF
Can we go to meetups and just sit behind the table and talk shit the entire time?Statler and Waldorf would seriously be our best possible life.
Someday we’re going to be asked to narrate a stream where we can see hole cards and we will literally take over poker commentating world wide forever. Can we go to meetups and just sit behind the table and talk shit the entire time?
I'm Vince Van Kifer and you are Bergs Sexxxton.Someday we’re going to be asked to narrate a stream where we can see hole cards and we will literally take over poker commentating world wide forever.
He’s done great doing what he does. Who remembers the first sales from his website? he used eBay before pcf got whalers.Yeah @bergs is right, and it's been a long time coming. I don't blame Jim at all- if those racks were offered up in a "fair" way they would most likely be auctioned off shortly aft3r by whoever was lucky enough to get them, and then it would happen again and again as multiple members write paragraphs on why they hate to catch and release each time while maybe making more on each flip than Jim did on the original sale.
I understand not everybody thinks Jim is as much of an asset to our chipping community as I do, I mean hE mAkEs MoNeY off the chips he sells so he's just as bad as pure flippers, right? I happen to think he's done a great service for the chipping community and while I hate that I don't have a chance at much anymore I'm glad he's getting the lions share of the "flip" on this stuff now.
Turns out the unicorn does in fact have a limit on how many times it can be punched.
I'll take the over. Do I hear 90%? 91?Who will you sell your $1000 a racks chips to when whales are gone. Cause 75% of us here won’t buy them now let alone then.
Out of 10k members, and probably 2k active ones? I'd take the over on 97%.I'll take the over. Do I hear 90%? 91?
...there will be a major price crash in future ...
There's a lot of high end sets and racks sitting in the classifieds now, so the slowdown is already happening. But don't think it'll crash. Much like the housing market generally it may correct by 10% or so but there's too many people who will just not sell if they aren't able to recoup their costs.Been thinking and saying this for years... Still waiting for it, but am no longer holding my breath.
I’m paying for access to this steam everyday of the week. Bonus points if you costume up to look like muppetsI'm Vince Van Kifer and you are Bergs Sexxxton.
He doesn’t need to costume up to look like one.Bonus points if you costume up to look like muppets![]()
Done and done. Just gotta grow out my moustache. He doesn’t need to costume up to look like one.
Ahh set #41 AND COUNTING!He’s done great doing what he does. Who remembers the first sales from his website? he used eBay before pcf got whalers.
The flippers are part of the game, spinettis is just as much of this problem as the others. Guarantee if there’s no limit you’ll see people with 1000s in there cart. ( you end flipping by not paying premiums. You end premiums by letting whales die out ! ) once there gone you have plenty of supply less demand your made at flippers but in reality it’s not flippers you should be mad at its whales.
If I was Jim I’d create my own site again and list these for what ever I wanted. Auction the low count high denom on eBay. But he’s got you pcfers by the balls. Your all wanting the next best thing but in reality you can only use 1 set and 1 tournament set. So buying them for collections is dumb.
The fallout from this will be epic when it happens there will be a major price crash in future bc all chippers get burned out either by funds or by just this nonsense community lol. and whales move on from 1 project to the next. Who will you sell your $1000 a racks chips to when whales are gone. Cause 75% of us here won’t buy them now let alone then.
Why does everyone hate on potatoes? We are an honest and simple people. You are, however, an animatronic potato and the first of your species to live amongst homosapien as (ostensibly) an equal, so, in there respect, you are a remarkable little tube veggie (pinches whatever passes for your “cheeks”).
That was its own separate problem - inflating the cost of sets simply by selling chances to win that were in total worth more than the market price in many cases, plus laws are different in every state and so there's risk to administering them.I wish raffles were still a thing
