FYP. It has now become nearly impossible to get your hands on an old school casino set, irrespective of condition. Mixed set and relabel/tributes are the only way, for now.

On chip prices v income. I don’t think they’re really correlated until cost of living goes up 20%.

On the auction format for this sale. I’m annoyed that I won’t be able to pick these chips at an affordable price. But we can’t have it both ways. TCR sells too cheap, flippers profit, everyone gets pissed off. TCR let’s the community decide on pricing via auctions, multiple buyers show interest and take prices to a point where most of the community is priced out. Everyone else gets pissed off. Let’s just learn to be happy with what we have.

Let us remember this though........ When the price is paid and the flavor of the chip is no longer appealing, said buyer{s} will be stuck with said flavors unless they take losses..... some here have even praised others for taking huge losses on chips citing said sellers as "heroes".... Heros? Poor decision makers? fools?? you decide. I estimate in the future some of these chips will be for sale again, I also see the same people who cant swing the cost now not swinging it then either.

Cite; Aurora Star, RPC, Chicken and on and on and on....... Our hobby makes NO SENSE.

I'm glad to see that Jim will be benefitting from the auctions for the rare chips vs the profit going into a flippers pocket. Yes, that means that it'll be harder for the general population to get, but let's be fair about it. Half of those buyers would just change their minds later and offer the chips at much higher prices or in the auction section anyway.

This was not a normal release where there are have hundreds of thousands of chips. There are like 3k chips it seems like. So yeah, these extremely desirable chips are going to the highest bidder understandably.

That's true for the good stuff in basically every hobby ever. Unless what you are collecting is plentiful and cheap, like 1987 baseball cards, or soil samples from Knox County, Illinois.

again if you people think this is bad try collecting Rare Shoes or limited shoes or even General release Air Jordans most within minutes sell out and you have to pay double right off the bat and they come out every week LOL good luck some you have to pay 10-whatever times more right off the bat
