This month, we've received a small supply of new, sealed Freddie's Club Casino poker playing cards from Gemaco (now part of GPI). Gemaco makes the decks for the casino in Renton,Washington.

These are beautifully done Gemaco decks. They're plastic coated casino stock, and are the type used by many casino companies in the United States. The feel and handling of these decks is a step above regular plastic coated decks.

They're poker size decks with jumbo pips, recessed for use with a dealer peek mirror at a blackjack table. You won't need a mirror to use them, but if you have a mirror -- or plan to get one -- these will work perfectly.

The deck back design is the traditional "gem back," full-bleed in red or black, pictured above. The decks come in full tuck boxes, with a casino use note area and a window showing the deck colors. These are new, sealed decks with tear tape intact.

I'm offering them for $2.95 per deck. They're a perfect "throw-in" item if you are ordering something in a flat rate box. PM me here or e-mail dennis@keywestresortcasino for a quote with shipping.

Our new feature:

There are some amazing decks of playing cards out there. With so many to chose from, I'd like to offer a new deck each month here on PCF and on the Key West site. I know "Old-Timers" like me each have our favorite deck, size and style, but there are many new people joining Poker Chip Forum every month, and they may have an interest in using a nice deck of cards next to those amazing chips they find here.

At the Key West, we have lots of different playing cards -- from these Gemacos, to their "logo-less" Gemback cousins, to Bicycle, Bee, Copag and even a few Fourniers. Prices for a deck of cards these days can range from under $3 to nearly $15 or more per deck, depending on the material, design, manufacturer and number produced.

So here is the first featured playing card -- a nice casino deck for the player on a budget. And it's just a start.
