KEMs worth $35? (1 Viewer)

Got the cards in the mail. I think they great cards. I haven’t done any official testing but I am going to say they are better than the normal retail KEM cards. It seems like they have a little bit more of a snap and aren’t as flimsy. The regular retail KEMs are way too flimsy for me. They are from 2006 and did come with some slight bowing but not a big deal. None of my players will ever notice as it’s ever so slight. Thanks for everyone’s feedback and opinions in this thread. You guys are awesome!
If flimsyness isn't your thing, you shouldn't be shopping for kems.
There are plenty of snappy cards out there and most of them are a lot cheaper than kems.
If those kems are snappy, it's probably either due to the bow or maybe you just want to feel good about an expensive setup that you just bought.
I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but for the sake of people who are trying to learn about cards, kems are known for being the opposite of snappy. Their flexiness are what people are paying for, when they pay for kems.

I can 100% see where you are coming from and I don’t blame you. Perhaps I should have been more clear. When I said more snappy I meant in relation to retail KEMs. The deck I purchased is from 2006 so you could be right. That may have something to do with it. I took 2 quick photos of each card for comparison. One of them appears to be more flimsy than the other. Maybe it’s all in my head… who knows. Anyhow, I like how they feel compared to the others.

I want to know the degree of bowing.

Because I bought 2 sets of them, too.

Please upload more photos if possible.

Woah, I didn’t check my decks. Are you saying the Fourniers are from 2006? Do they not make these any longer and these are the remaining stock available?

Also, how did you get yours so fast? Which seller was it?

I was talking about the KEMs. I probably won’t receive my Fourniers for a few more weeks. I was under the assumption that the Fourniers are new.

I’m glad I stumbled upon this thread. I have been looking for these circleback cards forever and finally purchased one of each setup.

I am curious - I thought these cards were exclusive solely to casinos. Why have these become suddenly available? Wondering if this impacts availability and whether I should stock up…?

I belive Spinettis have good plug in and you right...
I would not make more stock than 2-3 years worth if you a fan, they pretty expensive anyways

So I may get run out of this forum for saying this but the Fourniers feel very similar to Copags. I think the face of the cards on the Fourniers are much nicer but that’s about it… not sure what all the hype is about. Also, the KEMs beat both by a landslide.

Strange, my Fourniers feel completely different from my Copags. So much so that it's instantly recognizable.

Very odd. They feel like pvc and nothing like the KEMs in my opinion. They have a very plastic feel to them.

You guys might be pissing right past each other. I just grabbed. a deck of each - Fournier, KEM, and Copag. I don’t think it’s insane to say that fourniers feel more like copags than KEMs. But that’s not saying much, because KEMs are the best and nothing feels like them.
Copags get a bad rap here. I’m not sure why, but I’m guilty of it myself. They’re just so common; they’re just copags - there’s nothing exciting about them. But the truth is, they’re good plastic cards, and a new setup of copags would be fine in any game.

All that said, when comparing all the different plastic cards, paying attention to all the details, copags and fourniers aren’t very much alike.

There is a new (BE) Copag stock that I prefer a lot above the old...check the pokah wonkah review from Dix (these are made on the new stock).
You can also find them in normal Copag version too.

Still....not on par with the quality of Fournier or Cartamundi but a big improvement vs the old stock and the ink doesn't fade as easy like before.

Ps. I bought the last stock of the Nederpoker cards...

Ugh, smart move, how many did they have left? I only have the four decks I bought originally, always thinking I could just order more.
