I am trying to choose a poker table and I am frankly very picky. This site has the only tables that have really appealed to me, but the price seems a bit outrageous. Can anyone attest to these being worth it? And how do they compare to Chanman custom tables?

I am probably looking at a round or octagon table for an 8 handed cash game.

Thank you in advance for your help!

These are a relatively new offering by them. Not sure I have seen anyone who has bought one yet. For this price point, you have many excellent custom options.

I kind of hate the horizontal chip holders or whatever they are called on the round tables. Chanman tables seem better in my opinion. For that type of cash it should be completely awesome and perfect and exactly what you want.
This is very true, good point. The horizontal chip holders are really the only negative.

Aside from Chanmon, is there another company or two that makes customs that I should be looking into?

Couple of options on custom builders people have favorably reviewed:

Also you can check out tables from Gorilla Gaming and BBO Poker for less custom and more mass produced options although they also have certain levels of customization of their base models as well.

It's your money, but to be honest, building a table really isn't that difficult if you want to put the time and effort into it. I built my 8-man table for around $250. I guess it's all about what value is to you.

Yup, building the table yourself is the way to go. I did mine as my first woodworking project ever and I'm very happy with the result.
As long as you prepare with a few free videos on youtube, you'll do just fine.
