Well, it doesn't PROVE anything, but one can assume that if a) fracs are more rare and b) most people use fracs in their cash sets (even you) then fracs would most likely be at least as valuable, if not more valuable than the $1 chips, even without as much data points.

This is kind of irrelevant to the thread and what’s being discussed so this will be my last post about it,

Most people use 25 dollar chips in their set and there are fewer 25s than 1s, it doesn’t mean the 25s sell for more. If the frac was a brown solid with an oversized label it would sell for 1$ tops. But it’s spotted hot pink so people love it.

But to the original point, the ‘market’ price isn’t nearly as stable as stuff that’s more plentiful. Likewise theres exactly one thread of an offer for IOC 500s for 40/Chip. A rack could easily auction for $10 a chip less or $10 a chip more.

Depends on the casino but most casinos (I think all I've seen) have more $25s than they do $1s and fewer fracs than $1s fwiw. The quantity available of any chip is only one side of the equation though. On the demand side, the demand for $1s (assuming all denoms are available) will always outweigh that for $25s, I'd guess at least 2-1. As you said though... back to an IoC set sale ! :)

Bump! And…

Very low quantity all around. Seems to be a pretty low stake centric casino. Only 1 rack of $500 secondary chips?

IOC KC Final Numbers
Secondary Chips:
$0.502600
$18300
$2.50800
$519000
$255400
$1001350
$500100

Ok I’m going to close this down. Going to put up a couple auction threads for the ones and the fracs, and I’ll be selling the other chips by the rack here in the classifieds. Thanks for everyone who expressed interest.
