So with today's sale of more than half my PCRs I'm left with the following chips and wonder if I can even put them to use... I want to keep them because they were always my favourite chips when I first stumbled upon Apache's site many years ago. To me they're as much artwork as playable chips so even if they don't get used, it's no big deal. But I'd like to.

Just looking for input on my idea of using these for a five person mini tourney:

100x $25
60 x $100
50x $500
20 (well, 25) x $1000

(with a couple of lots of 10x NCV in various colours which I guess could be $2k or $5k chips).

I'm thinking a T10,000 five player game and perhaps (since I can't really chip-up) introducing a $25 ante as blinds increase.

Any thoughts or input?

Perhaps a T5000 game will actually allow for a chip-up later on. I just feel there would not be many chips on table at that point.

You can run a 5-player tournament with T9500 stacks:

20 x T25 (100 required, check)
10 x T100 (50 required, check)
10 x T500 (50 required, check)
2 x T1000 (10 required, check)
-------------
42 chips = T9500

Color-up the T25 and T100 chips with T1000 chips (8 total required, you'll have 10 extras plus 10 extra hundos). Use the NCV chips as bounties or T5000 chips (making 20K starting stacks).

Buy another five T500 chips if you want to round the starting stacks up to T10000.

Nice, thanks @BGinGA . I do actually (probably) have some extra $500s hidden away so I reckon I can make it happen.

Not a fan of the ante idea?

I'd never even played with antes until a recent big tourney at my local casino and it got me thinking..

You could do a t2500 for 10

8x25
3x100
4x500

Start blinds low at 25/25

Or do an ante only tournament.

Ante only sounds interesting, Stocky. I've never even considered the concept.

Are you serious about the T2500 starting stacks of 15 chips? Do you reckon that's enough? I guess at a multi-table casino tourney we really only start with about 20 chips. I've always thought the more starting chips the better, as a chipaholic.

I can only seat 8 at my current table anyway so perhaps I could go a full game of T5000

12x25
7x100
6x500
1x1k

Then colour up the 25s and 100s with remaining 1000s later on. Hmm. OK these PCRs will see some play after all :)

It's not ideal but with limited chips...

Realistically I'd use the remaining 100s for some players. (Take one 500 and give 5x100s) until all are used. Not all starting stack need to use all the same breakdown.

And yes if 8 max, use 12x25s

Yeah, I'll see how it goes. I haven't been running any tourneys lately. Thanks for the advice, fellas.

Well, I managed to buy another 10x $500s so I should be OK to run 8 players now with descent starting stacks and colour up :)

Thanks again, guys.
