Look, it's your money. Get what you want. I wouldn't buy any pre-configured sets, because the breakdowns usually stink. Get samples, and listen to advice from experienced chippers. Buy the best chips for your budget, and get enough for your game, and the best breakdown for your stakes. There are decent options for 20¢/chip, 50¢/chip, all the way up to $5/chip and more. Its probably because amazon knows im just getting into the hobby and its populr with people just getting into it as well. I tried looking at chips on apache poker chips but the fact that it doesnt come with a case it doesnt seem as worth it to me. What do you recommend?
You can buy just a Slowplay case. They look nice, but seem a bit overpriced, IMO. If you have a Harbor Freight nearby, check out their Apache 3800 case (not related to the poker chip site
