This looks great Im going to start using this soon. It would be interesting to add a feature where players could add the time they are planing on leaving, that way it would be easier to coordinate someone who's arriving late to fill the spot.

Where is the 100 per day limit from? I did some googling, and it seems like gmail has a 500 limit for free accounts now. Is this a specific limit for an App?

So I am looking into this again.
It seems to me that doing this without Twilio isn't going to work consistently with the cell phone providers shutting down their SMS gateways. (Maybe as a metro by t-mobile user, I might be hit a little closer to home on this.)
So I am wondering if anyone that has gone through the Twilio setup could offer me a step-by-step, and then an expectation for how much things should cost. I have only 40 names or so on my text list.

I can help, but not home ATM. I’ve gotten it work no problem. I have 75 people, added $20, and it lasts a while. I need to make some updates to better utilize the app and twilio though

I feel a little intimidated by the website to set this up since it feels like it's directed toward sales and marketing professionals.
but not really in a huge rush, but I would appreciate advice starting from creating the twilio account whenever you are inclined.
I would be interested in this too. Maybe a you tube video on this would benefit everyone?

Bear in mind that thel length of your mesaages will directly affect your cost. Sms is still sent in -127 character chunka behind the scenes. Each chunk counts as one message for billing purposes. Multiply that out by the number of players and it adds up quick.
From time to time, players report that the get this error.
I'm guess for now that it's some kind of conflict when I'm sending messages and they are trying to update
their status at the same time as someone else. Any other ideas what might cause this error?

I have not come across this. I’d have to troubleshoot this in the moment while it’s happening- which is nearly impossible.

Have them open the link in a private/incognito browser. That usually works
PSA for those who are trying to send text messages via Twilio
I had my required Application to Phone (A2P) campaign rejected several times before the Twilio
helpdesk alerted me that using the word "poker" in sample messages triggers some kind
of "gambling" violations.
Twilio helpdesk was very helpful trying to get this setup

I appreciate that, I am kind of in the same spot right now and haven't tried again.
So weird, I might setup a second account to see how I set everything up again.
I may actually try again... I was really frustrated and perhaps overreacted
The helpdesk was great, but I had to fight with their AI help center for 20-30 minutes
before it finally got around to letting me put in a help desk ticket
Could be I just have to go back and not use "poker" in my sample texts for the A2P campaign
I think if I try again and fail, the helpdesk guy will hold my hand
Just want to say how amazing Invite tracker has been! I've been using it for two years now. I've only experienced one bug and I'm wondering if 4.x solves for it. I have about 45 players and have been sending messages to both email and SMS. Almost 80% of the time the "message send" process fails. And then I need to restart it only for those players who have not received the messages. This is what Google Apps sends me. I'm on version 3.7 Thoughts?
Also, since email to sms is ending or has ended I've been using ClickSend. If any of you are interested in the specifics lmk...

You are running into a Google limitation. They only allow you to run code for a specific amount of time. With 45 players you may be exceeding that time.
Couple things you can do.
1. In Settings make sure Seconds Between Message Send: is set to zero.
2. Break up your list into A list and B list then send to each list individually.
Nothing in v4 would fix this.

One more thing. If you are sending as text and SMS it may be taking twice the time (i dont remember how i coded it)
so try breaking it upthat way if that works i can probably fix it in code.

Since I broke my big list by 14 max names in small lists, I never ever had this problem again. Even with 0 sec.
Thank you for the advise! I decreased the delay to zero and I change "both" to "SMS/text" only. Since I am using ClickSend now SMS is very dependable. I sent out a new invite on Sunday to 44 members and it processed all of them! Hopefully the trend continues...

It's the least cost from what I could tell.
The most complicated portion is registering a toll free number and making it TCR compliant. You have to keep the messaging extremely generic within the SMS and not refer to anything poker or game or gambling related. If you do this it works pretty good. Within our league we have a bad beat jackpot. I take a very small portion of the bad beat jackpot to pay for this service. I estimate my cost to be about $100 a year.

3 - In send message, the available list still ABCDE. No F
Minor stuff tho. Great great tool.
[UPDATE] After removing the changed name back to original, it seems related about changing name. And (may be) to upper/lower case missmatch.
Should be a edge case.

You may be able to tack an extra column on the end. I’m just not sure if it will sort. I’ll have to check. What you don’t want to do is insert a column in the middle. That will definitely screw things up.
If you decide to try it before me, make sure you unhide the hidden columns first, to make sure your extra column is being added to the end.
Here they are
1. Multiple guest locations and addresses to choose from just like dates and times
2. Outline two to three to four five game dates in the future
3. Pay out calculator; competitive, normal, and family friendly. High hand option bad beat option
4. Bad beat jackpot and league expense ledgers
5. Attendance roster that's easily printed out with multiple buy-in columns, loans, and comments
6. Someplace to put the winners of the tournament historically so people can review it
7. Link to the Facebook group page
8. Flag a guest participant as another player's guess
9. List D E and F
10. Outline the format of the tournament and place it at the top of the UI
11. 100 messages per day quota as a setting not a fixed value
12. When the send message process errors out devise a way to restart the process from where it left off
13. Place the name of the host and the address in the main UI
14. Place other information at the top of the UI like bring a pizza bring your own drinks come early to chit chat
15. Schedule each type of message sends, when they occur in how many. Sort of like a scheduling function
16. On the guest page create two columns one for email and one for SMS so it's specific to each person
