A couple of suggestions for additional features in case you're planning another release

1. A way to preview emails and texts before sending them. I can work around this right now
because I have a separate email address for the app, so I just send the email to myself.
I don't use text, but I could do the same if I did.

2. Expand the number columns in the Guest sheet that are auto-sorted.
It appears that only columns A to H (or probably I, which is hidden) are sorted
I'd like to use a column or two (J & K?) for notes about players. I tried to write notes in column J, but they
didn't seem to be auto-sorted.. Since I only use email, I can use D and E for this purpose, but
those who do email and text could not

I haven't sent a full-blown set of invitations, but everything seems to work fine after a little bit of testing

BTW.. I like the idea of using "Send Sample" to send a message to an individual without having to edit
the "Send To" field in the Msg Templates

I should be doing a full blown set of invitations later this week. I'll reply again if anything weird occurs

Sorry Al... I spoke too soon.
When I added myself as a new guest, my personal link was not created.
The Hyperlink column contained the text "Personal Link", but with no actual link
The email body seems to have the correct link, but clicking results in a "Page Not Found" error

The personal links for the Presidents seem to be in working order

Not sure why it's different, but my personal link is ok in the app after reinstalling, but when I click
the link in the sample email, I still get "Sorry, unable to open the file at this time."
The raw link looks ok

I sent myself a TestMessage through the usual means, and neither the "Submit Your Status" or the "Check Status" links worked
although they appear to be correct

Trying another reinstall... same result

If it’s a “me” problem then it’a an us problem.

Can you share the sheet and forward one of the broken emails? You should have my gmail bit PM me if you dont.

ok,,,, something weird is going on
The Token test you sent around 7pm and the one I sent just now work fine from my phone's email, but not from my laptop's email
Maybe it's time to reboot my laptop

It was definitely a google problem with my laptop
Rebooted, signed out of my google accounts and signed back in... all good now

I'm sorry, it should be obvious I guess, but cannot understand how the SIri shortcut works. Found nothing on the forum too.
It is my first use of any shortcut.

1 - I added the siri shortcut from the front page info (https://go.azouri.net/ITM40)
2 - The shortcut was created on my Mac.
3 - I edit the shortcut, but I cannot find anything looking like a field where I can put my own "Web App url".

Any tip/info welcome.

Ive never done it from a Mac (or in french for that matter). Try editing the second line - where it says apple.com

it was supposed to prompt you for that when you set it up.

Is it safe to delete or rearrange colums in the MsgTemplate sheet?

Yes, i do it all the time. Just use the menu option if you need to add a column.

I just finally installed it by following along the read me tab. Took me a half hour to get it installed, there were some tech problems with pop up blockers. Then I had to learn how to use it. I suggest a YouTube would be a good resource for beginners. I am still not sure I have it set up right. I copied the names and emails in.

Is there an easy way to get phone numbers in besides copy and paste? Also, do I have to look up the gateway for each phone number to find out if they are ATT or Verizon etc? I am on a Mac, so can I use a shortcut from there or only iPhone?

You do have to look up or know each sms gateway if you’re going to uaes the sms messaging function. Bear in mind that at&t will stop providing their sms gateway next month.

I dont have a mac and did not test the siri shoertcut on one. I would give it a try.

Thought there were a couple posts here about sending a sample invite to yourself. I test message. I can't find it in the pages here going back of them. Can you share again how to send a test message to yourself?

Ok. I think I figured that out. In the MsgSend tab. there is the Subject and Body, which isn't what I typed in in the Manage tab. Do I have to type in custom text for that too in the MsgTemplates tab? Thx.

Second, I got a sample message from the sample send. But the link doesn't work when I click on it. Does that link only work on actual send?

I got a lot of problems with the sheet. Should I just start over with the read me and set up a new one? Here are the problems I am having. I can't get a date beyond 6/19/25 or a time before 8pm. Can any one help?

Hi all. I have now got it up and running, and I am really happy with it. I am not familiar with spreadsheets, so I needed a little hand holding. I would say to new users, don't touch the tabs with locks on them, and only edit the ones without. Kudos to @Al Azouri going the extra mile for me. Good support by him and backing of his web app. I am now using it for my first event later in the month. I'll report back after. The only thing I have yet to try is using the text. I am only doing email right now.

I've tried a few configurations for the message, but it always says that the message will be sent to 0 people. Would anyone have an idea of what the problem here is? Ok it seems like the first problem was that I got the wrong version of the app. However, after downloading the latest one, I'm still having trouble with sending any messages. What screenshots or info would help with resolving this?

Edit: I also get an error when I attempt to view the message info. The error is as follows:

Repeats with Each failed because Shortcuts couldn't convert from Rich text to Dictionary

Dear Al,

As I had a small pb refreshing a list, I decided to do the long overdue upgrade to the latest version v4.0e beta.
Made the set up and copy/paste guest.
All works fine. The sending a test is really great.

I only have a small pb I never had before.

1 - My event date is setup for next friday (Fri July 4 2025).
2 - My spreadsheet is DD/MM/YYYY in the settings (as before)
3 - Parameters are GMT+1 and french language (as before)
4 - My text is same as before : "VENDREDI [Date] à [Time]."

But the SMS I receive is : "VENDREDI Jul, 03, 2025".
This is sent thru a Mail2SMS gateway.

I cannot see any reason.
If needed I gave you access to the GSheet

PS : Just tested with previous sheet and date is OK (text a bit different) tho : "VENDREDI 04/07/2025"

And all he rest seems fine (dashboard is OK). Just the date in SMS is with a problem

Hi I’ll try to take a look this weekend.

I did do a lot of messing around with the date logic to fix another bug. So it’s possible I introduced a regression. Messing with universal date time is a real PITA.

Looks like this was caused by changing the locale to France. Apparently you guys use semi colons and delimiters in formulas and we use comas. Who knew?

I switched it back to United States and that part is working now.
