I'm pricing out some mixed game placards for myself and @Kain8. Is this something anyone is interested in if I can get a volume discount from a manufacturer?

What's a reasonable price that would have you interested?

Looks like I've found a vendor local to me who is able to do a volume discount for us. To get some initial pricing I asked for a quote of 20 sets of 8 cards, and the price came out to the equivalent of about $4 USD each/$32 for a set of 8.

They also were able to set up a sample for me and I think they look great. 3x5, 1 1/16th" in thickness, custom engraving and the ability to round corners, etc.

I think the next step will be to start to do some polling to see what game variants people will be interested in.

Would the directions on how to play the game be printed on the back of the cards?

Mind if I ask what your price was for those?

I paid $5.06 +tax each (5.95 with 15% discount) for 3”x4”, not cheap but manageable. $131 for the set. Looks like they are running a 30% sitewide sale right now, and you can get 2”x4” for $3.95.

Are those thin/flexible or hard placards?

They are hard plastic. Barely any give and material reminds me of what you would see on a casino blackjack table, that little card some of them have that explains the rules of the sidebet. It’s the plastic “shiny gold” option

Nice cards, but in Scrotum, you must keep at least one card. So in 5-card Scrotum, you can discard only 1-4 cards.

In my house, you can discard all and play the board if you so choose. It’s not a strategy I would recommend though

Excellent "super moron" detector, though, the guaranteed moron being the third players to hold zero cards on any given hand.
:cool

Excel, card stock, laminator. But I get the appeal of having something nicer. Yes, I know I misspelled Badeucey. My group isn't into all the super circus games.

I got mine from customsigns.com. They are the 4"x2" plastic engraved.
I've kept them pretty simple and added 'pot limit' and 'no limit' signs, as well.
I'm happy with how they turned out.
They are white with burgundy lettering, although the image makes them look a little yellow. The font is BookmanOldStyle or something like that (without going back to look at the order.)
