This is true of lots and lots of food and drink. They tweak the recipes from country to country to better suit local tastes.

Or in the case of the US, they just load it with HFCS and know that we'll gobble it up anyway.

I guess I always figured the company wouldn’t let the recipe be altered regardless of country and would rather export the necessary ingredients than allow modifications.

I can't recall ever having heard someone say, "pound salt." It's always been, "pound sand" where I come from. Maybe we're just a bunch of vulgar pricks up in Alberta, Canada!
