Nah, I’m good on the sorority parties. I’m way past that lol!
@2jzMk3 : SIX hundred hp? In an e36?!?!! That’s ... bonkers.
I used to get this in casinos and more rarely in home games. It's definitely the adrenaline. Recognize it as just that and enjoy the rush. This approach has served me well in other aspects of life - like dealing with the jitters before a big presentation. (I'd skip the crown and cokes for the latter though)Okay, I have a problem when I sit at a poker table. I'm not sure if this is normal, but it happens to me every time I play. Home game, casino, or any other way that you can play Hold Em. When there are stakes involved, be it .25/.50 or 4/8, as soon as I sit at the table, I get nervous. It's not a fear or a situation where I'm uncomfortable because I only play stakes where I am comfortable playing, but it's almost like an adrenaline rush that makes me start to tremble. I'm not sure what this means, but I'll typically just have 1 or 2 crown and cokes, and then it goes away.
Anyone experience anything similar?
I just did my first stint in Vegas and was shaking like a leaf at the tables the first day. Soon I settled in and started playing, and playing well I might add.
That said, i couldn't lose the shakes when in a big hand, good thing was it seemed to work to my advantage and I had guys betting into me thinking I was bluffing, or scared when I was. Worked out well in the end.
When I see someone with shaky hands I usually think "they have it".
I get this alot. Good news is I do it all the time, so I don't think? it's a tell. I think I used to get it a little, but now it's much worse. Sometimes I settle in after a few orbits, sometimes my heartrate is thru the roof the whole time. I'll have to try the ear bud trick....what music?Update: I started wearing a single AirPod when I play line and this has resolved the issue. Can’t explain it, but the music stops the trembling.
Whatever is on my phone at the time. Usually something that I find calming. Sometimes Michael Jackson, sometimes Eryka Badu or Bruno Mars.I get this alot.
