Hate to see you go, I must be out of the loop because I don't have any idea what is going on other than the GB issue and clearly whatever that was doesn't need any more attention.

I just assumed a few people were annoyed about some shit in the politics thread....so I have no idea WTF is going on and I'm on here 4-6 hrs out of the day. Must be missing out on deleted threads.....which is kinda BS in my opinion if they are not a legal issue. If MODS wanna lock em thats fine, but why delete em....that seems kinda big brother middle school shit to me

Not sure what is up but I do not agree that this place does not have good information. When I started I went through the same stuff that occurs now. First, you get in and try to fit in. Also you try to buy a nice set and soak up the great info that is available on this site from the members. As a neophyte I wanted to learn more about this crazy hobby. I found I was met with some that were willing to share, some that would not share and some that would make some feel unwelcomed through comments. Not knowing who these people were and what their agenda might be I decided to continue to explore and learn. Yes, I got into a few "discussions" with other members but these were quickly resolved because I or we did not default to name calling or belittling others.

The above mentioned is one of the problems and one reason I actually liked that the Political threads moved to another part of the site. I once tried to contribute to those discussions but they would generally end up with name calling and cussing which really turned me off to these threads. I have found that I can have those types of discussions with people when we are face to face which generally turn out much better that way. I do not need a hobby site to discuss politics. I need a hobby site to research and better myself in the hobby and hope to pass on what I have learned to others starting off in this crazy hobby.

I have been a member of very large organizations and also have held leadership positions within these organizations and I have found the same thing. The people that were working together for the betterment of the organization were often called a clique. This was mostly due to members that did not want to do anything extra and did not join them rather than the "clique" keeping them out.

Now, concerning the stabs and jabs in a thread I learned to ignore those, be a bigger person and do not get in the name calling and belittling that others may get pleasure in doing.I have seen a bunch of that from members getting in on a thread only to post one item calling out or belittling another member! Very immature and unprofessional in my opinion. If this statement gets you mad then maybe you might want to look in the mirror for the answer.

I have never been one to think I have raised my level in anything by trying to lower the other person. If you get in one of these arguments there is nothing wrong with ignoring it all when it results to name calling. In fact that probably means you are the adult in the conversation. I do realize that some of the name calling is just in fun but when it is meant the wrong way that is just not right and in my eyes has no place in any forum. Especially when the person knows nothing about the other person.

One other item I will address to the Noobs! I know sometimes some of the older members here may say things that you may take the wrong way. Sometimes this is done as a defense mechanism. This is and always been a very close knit group that take care of each other. Yes, it even happened to me. Some of the things that are said or questions that are asked are to make sure we are all protecting the hobby since there have been many try to come in and take advantage of the group. Noobs are always welcomed but are sometimes tested. Wrong, right or indifferent that is the way it is but please know you are welcome here and can always ask for help

Anyway, I have had the pleasure of meeting many of the active members on this forum. I will say that these are some great people. I am not going to name each one but I think you know who you are. Many good friends are to be found on this forum. If you feel left out then maybe get involved in a positive manner!

Just my thoughts in a brief post. :p

Be positive and grow! Remember to live by the two rules in life and your world is much better.

Rule #1. DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF!!!

Rule #2. IN THE GRAND SCHEME OF THINGS........ IT IS ALL SMALL STUFF!!!

My thing is just that I hate when people complain about stuff, and then continue to do it despite their complaints. THAT SIMPLE. Happens all the time at work. Some dude takes a survey, slams us, then continues to come back and take the survey over and over and over; slamming us every time. Illogical behavior imo. Oh well, I will let it all slide and take in stride. I am down with keeping it to the chips and "ignoring" the drama.
