I had my first set for about 20 years.... a bunch of 6-stripe cheapies that I paid to get hotstamped.

Then a couple of years back I came across one of Hobbyphilics videos; subsequently, I bought a huge array of samples, and ended up with Milanos and NexGens for cash and tourney respectively. Managed to eBay the 6-stripers.

THEN I found PCF and saw all the cool CPC sets people had. Of course I obtained my own custom CPC set, then just recently sold the bulk of the Milanos & Nexgens here on the classifieds.

Now I search for what will be my tourney set.

Thus, I currently have one set, and one looming in the near future.

I currently have about 20 sets... I use my chips, but only host a few times a year so only some sets see play... so I'm also a collector.
Like others, I have bought and sold a good amount of chips.. managed to pare down this past year and get under 20,000 chips.
My first set - blank ASMs HHR mold (Horse Head Right) - about 700 of them. I ended up giving that set to a friend.
Didn't have any chips for about 10 years and wasn't really playing. I decided to put together a set (Paulson Pharaoh's) about 3 years ago as I wanted to host a friendly game. Found some... but while looking I was like, hey what about those, oh and these are nice, oh and those.
The Pharaoh's never saw play (and have since been sold) as I already had 5 or 6 sets by the time I actually hosted a game.

In case no one has mentioned it yet.. don't buy any TRKs, ever....

I also use all my sets, except the mini-chips, because they stack like angry cats. All use a different blind structure. Cashing in 4 (or more) consecutive appearances on 4 different chipsets is an accomplishment known around here as the Zombie Grand Slam.

I like my TRK set a lot, but I don’t love it more than my PCA set. The $5 PCA secondary is still my favorite chip of any chips in my sets outside of my custom sets.

I didn't think dice chips counted.

I guess I have 17 sets then. One set of dice chips and one set of those 2-cent plastic interlocking chips from childhood.

Your whole hitching post thing convinced me to find a theme and stick with it across table, chips and room.

Of all the great sets and themes I’ve seen on ct and pcf over the years, the hitching post is my favourite.

Redbelly’s set gave me the same aha moment five years ago. I remember seeing tables, chips, trophies, even hats (!) with his logo and thinking, “I want to do that!”
