How many sets do you have? (3 Viewers)

he is right you know, anything less than 3000 chips and its hard to manage even a single table.....

Man one table with all of these would be awesome!

But also a total mess! This was the starting stacks for our Ohio meet up

But it would be fun to have towers of chips on the table! Lol

I currently have 3 sets. I just starting hosting monthly small stakes tournaments less than a year ago. I feel like I have picked up my first hobby collection of my life with poker chips. I love seeing what is out there and usually end up purchasing ones that catch my eye.

Just FYI I was recently informed by @Jeff that if you don't have 3,000 chips... it doesn't count as a set.

I thought Brie and I had 32 playable sets (obviously some still in the works, but playable) but now I found this out and cuts our set count down to 3! And two of those are slugged. I guess I finally answered my 18 month question "I really don't have a problem, infact we need to step up our game!" Lol
Hmmmmmmmm!!!

My new update then, based on this new formula...

Total # of sets : 0:ROFL: :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

Upon looking, I apparently have 7 sets (6 cash and 1 tourney) with 1 set (tourney) still inbound… now I really think a photo shoot is in order.

None of them come close to meeting the min. 3000 chip count criteria however, so maybe not

Photoshoot is necessary! Can't wait to see it Conor!

I agree, 3000 chips is a tough number to get to. I guess within our own little worlds, we have our sets that we can "play", for our respective games and number of tables...etc etc!

I know for me, at present, I've got 11 playable sets. 3 for tournament play, and 8 others for cash games. All of them can run my single table cash game and/or MTT games..

Made me curious… looks like I’m sitting at 6740 chips across 7 sets, with the smallest being “only” 600 and the largest being 1280.

Inbound set is around 800 (I think, lol)
Me too! Haha!

9960 chips over 11 sets.

- 2 ceramic sets made up of 1600 chips

- 1 CPC set of 1100 chips

- 1 TRK set of 600 chips

- 1 BCC set of 700 chips

- 6 Paulson sets make up the rest

Current status for me is just three, though 4 when the Park Place group buys come in (small 102 chip cash set)

The Vegas house mold cash set that handles regular and limit games (1950 chips)

The Matsui WPS 3 table tourney set (both low stakes T5k and a high rollers T2M) with all-in chips, bounty chips, rebuy chips, seating chips, and oversized card caps (1600 total chips) Chips lightly sanded to remove the slipperyness <--is that even a real word?

The small 104 chip El Casino CLub Bahia tourney set (this picture doesn't show the completed set, but close) ... $1's are T1000, $5 is dealer button LOL

I’m a new member so just learning about the entire ‘set collection’ aspect of the hobby/interest.

I have a Paulson’s RHC ‘GOOD LUCK CLUB’ set in mint condition that I purchased from Paulson’s decades ago. Love ‘em!

I have 6 sets that pale in comparison to what most of you have. But I love them.

4 cash (pictured here) and 2 tournament. They all have their purpose:
IOC: favorite set for special occasions, plays my 50¢/$1 cash ($5k+ bank)
HSI: 25¢/50¢ Home cash (sub $4k bank)
Ddlm: 5¢/10¢ or 25¢/25¢ cash. Good for travel/hosting at others’ ($2200 bank)
Jack Detroit/cincy mix: 25¢/25¢, my backup cash to switch up the home game, small bank of $1100.

Banks may seem low on these. But we rarely have more than $1k on the table. Even the 50¢/$1 game stays well under $2k.

Tournament (attached as mobile won’t let me put both images inline)
DDLM T100 base, good for T20k MTT
Jack cincy T25 base STT (being put together now)

Joined the hobby and community 18 months ago, currently 4 cash sets.

1. Cercle Concorde - Bourgogne & Grasset (580 chips)
2. Paulson THC relabel "Bourbon Street" (500 chips) - need a last rack of $5s to complete
3. Paulson THC mixed (500 chips) - need a rack of fracs to complete
4. Paulson mixed hotstamp - work in progress
Order in progress for a 600 tourney chip set on Tina's cards mold (WSOP tribute design)

We play about 2 games/month, which allows a regular rotation of the sets. And apart from a few gaps to fill, I think I have reached not at retirement but at something close to Nirvana :)
