How many NHL fans do we have here? (9 Viewers)

Fell asleep after the 3rd, just caught OT here at breakfast!

1 down, 3 to go. Job‘s not done.

Flying to Edmonton here today. Can't wait to catch game 2 in person! Let’s. F*cking. Gooooo
I woke up for OT - what a treat!

So jealous of you, my brother got tickets for game 5, was booking my flights only to find out my Canadian passport expired back in April. It’s going to be a few more early mornings for me…

Go Oilers!

My daughter got an early work anniversary gift today. I'm pumped.

Played with and signed by Aho. Will make for a nice prop after I get my Canes topper. We're both lefties too.

Yes, incredible period. I won a few bucks betting on the first goal scorer, either Bennett or Draisaitl.

All over the place kind of incredible period.

First half of the period, Florida looked really good. They spent so much time in Edmonton's zone. I wasn't expecting anything like the score we have now at this point.

Also, about as physical level of play as I expected. This was never going to be a series that wasn't.

Puck drop. Here we go!

I was only ever a mid-tier goaltender playing in a rec-league in Arizona, but I always had a second sense for when my team was on their back foot. I'd cover the puck or freeze the play to give my team a moment to reset if things were looking scrappy. I'd happily take the faceoff in either circle in front of me than have to manage a team that was feeling a bit "off".

How hasn't Skinner sensed his team at least needed a shift change and frozen the puck this period? I've counted at least three times there were D on the ice for over a minute and a half, the puck is at his feet and he chooses to play it to a corner....

Great observation, and that should also be something relayed to him by the coaches.

This game is going to give me a heart attack…

Nice seats! That's about the level from the ice I like. Close enough to feel the game, but also high enough to catch all of what's going on.

Please tell me it's as loud and the energy is even higher than what comes across on TV. I suspect it is.

Well, it’s a good thing I grabbed tickets to game 5. New series. Let’s gooooooo
Florida in 6. I think if you're gonna beat Florida in the series, you hafta leave home up 2-0.

How does Skinner have his knees open on that play? He wasn't really moving laterally, at least not enough that his knees needed to be open. He's Edmonton's Achilles heel.

I hope I'm wrong. Edmonton is a really good team, but they need a shutdown goalie, and Skinner ain't it.

That was easily one of the most insane games I've ever had the privilege of attending. Just insanity. I thought the roof was going to blow off the arena when the Oilers tied it up with 14 seconds to go.

I'll give Skinner a bit of a leash based on his recent play, but yeah, he's absolutely gotta keep his legs closed - got beat the same way on both of those Marchand breakaways.

Both teams had their chances in OT. Certainly could have gone either way.

I won't make the mistake of counting out Edmonton anymore - they've been the road team all playoffs so far and they've been a wagon. They have also bounced back from every setback so far these playoffs. They've gotta get a split in Florida now. Gonna be a great game 3.

They gotta split in Florida.

You can't beat Bobrovsky 4 times in regulation and lose.
