Lots of events overlap. I suppose being in the top 2% of each field and having a conflict is a good example of a first world poker problem. He's local, so I'm hoping he find a way to pull it off in both events.

Damn, I guess I'm rooting for Shaun Deeb today.

Some pros (like Mike Leah, for example) play practically every event. They will run from table to table to play hands, or sit out in one tournament and just blind down if they have a big enough stack to survive it while trying to run it up in another. I personally can't see it being +EV but Leah does it every year and he's more or less always in the player of the year running.

I guess it gives you an excuse to play crazier. For example, Deeb is starting today at noon in NLHE with just under 20bb. He's got two hours there before the final three resume in the 7-2 lowball event. I imagine he'll throw caution to the wind and try to double up a lot in those first two hours, to build up a stack that can survive while he tries to win a bracelet in lowball?
I dunno. It's crazy.

Also, if he's got a lot in bracelet bets, I guess it's worth it to just go for the win. Either run it up or move on.

After more thought, I’m not. If I was there, and some pro was bouncing between my table and another tournament, essentially playing bingo, I’d be pissed.
He’s out of the Lowball, btw. He jammed it all in on a 9 and finished 3rd

I have to say, after reading this I’m kind of relieved; all afternoon I’ve been feeling a bit uneasy knowing that you and I agreed on something. :p
