You’d be surprised how many German chippers there are. Love your sets (fellow BCC lover here), but do yourself a favor and put em both in play!

As for custom chips, check out this database (it’s a mix of CPC and ceramic custom sets, as well as semi custom Paulsons, put together by PCFers):

Those are some great tournament sets! There are actually a lot of chip enthusiasts in Germany who also made custom sets for CPC.

I got mine a year ago, too. I just haven't gotten around to finishing them yet, though.

I want to make my own hot stamps. The blanks are on Avatar .

Are there still companies or makers producing them at a really good level, or is that kind of quality basically gone nowadays?
I’m afraid nobody offers that anymore, but maybe I’m wrong.

I bought them simply because I loved them. For our regular games we’ve always used the Desert Palms, and I kept thinking, ‘maybe next time the THC’ — but that next time never happened .

And one thought about customs: I can 100% recommend going that way! Yes, you wait a loooong time depending on your preferred mold, but owning a self designed custom Set is defenitely something else! I love my THC or housemold sets, but my heart will always beat for my custom sets!

Hi everyone,

I got into poker after watching Casino Royale and soon discovered a passion for poker chips. In the following two years I imported chips from Asia and the US to Germany and traded Desert Palms Pure Clay Chips with other collectors.

For my own collection I purchased a lot of samples Sets, a large original Blue Chip Company Desert Palms set and later a big Top Hat & Cane set with Plaques, which remain the highlights of my collection.

Here in Germany there isn’t much high-level exchange about poker chips, so I joined PCF to connect with other collectors, share interests and enjoy the amazing photos and collections here.

Not yet, I’m new to the chip game, more of a long time bad poker player.

I haven’t seen those desert palms before, really cool design and colors. That WTHC setup looks awesome!

I have 3 separate ‘nice’ sets, and a couple of cheapo sets. I don’t have a preference yet, trying to rotate my different sets.
