Hi there,
Tuning in from Amsterdam, the Netherlands - and desperately looking for a decent chip set to buy. As most of you (probably) did, I started off with a cheap supermarket set, followed by a minor upgrade. I've now reached the point where I'd like to invest a bit more and get my myself a decent set but I got lost in the vast wilderness of available sets. Just can't decide between china clays, ceramics or actually dig deep for a set of 2nd hand Paulson's or used casino chips etc.
I've just ordered a few sample sets so hope that helps narrowing things down. From a shipping perspective, Europe isn't the best place to shop for chips as most nice sets either come from China or the US - both with heavy import taxes. Any tips you may have are more than welcome of course!!
In the mean time, I'm happily cruising the forums and reading up on all of your stories. Never imagined such a thing as a "Poker chip forum" existed, let alone seeing the community was this active and involved. Impressive to see even the vendors are heavily participating - just great!
Take care - play on!
