I started researching what chips to buy for my home games, and to say I went down a rabbit hole would be an understatement. I'm guessing that's how a lot of people got here.
I'm a compulsive chip shuffler. I work from home, and pretty much every second I'm not actively typing, I'm shuffling. No idea why I do this -- helps me tremendously to focus on my work or in meetings. I treated myself to a barrel of Paulson starbursts for shuffling, and I love them. I'd imagine that there are some people on this forum who will think that shuffling these chips to death is a crime against humanity. If it makes those people feel any better, I am probably giving myself some degree of lead poisoning by spending so much time grinding these things into dust.
For the home game chips, I'm leaning toward Milanos, Majestics or just trying to put together a mixed set of beat-up Paulsons, though I'm finding it hard to justify the expense of the latter. But it seems like there's a shortage of $1 milanos, of which I'd need a couple racks, and half the Majestic denominations I'd need are out of stock. For some reason, I feel strongly that I'd want either a fully matching set or for each denomination to come from a completely different source. No idea why this matters to me.
I think this is the part of the post where I'd normally ask any questions I may have, but most of my questions have already been answered by the search bar, and the ones that haven't probably could be. The amount of information available here is insane.
Anyway, I'm primarily here to get access to the classifieds. I fear that getting any more engaged in the discourse here is going to end up being very expensive for me. Ignorance is bliss, and I cultivate it carefully.
