Sad news to report. Gordon Lightfoot passed away at age 84. He was outstanding
“When you reach the part where the heartaches come
The hero would be me
But heroes often fail
And you won’t read that book again
Because the ending’s just to hard to take “

He was brilliant, could sing a story like no other.

Big Blue had fifty wives and he sired forty sons
Though most of them fell victim to the cruel harpoon guns
