First post on the forum, joined a couple days ago. I have known about poker and lightly played it for twenty years, but I am now starting to take it a little more seriously. I have an established group of friends that like to casually play as well.

I have been looking for chips to upgrade from my cheaper ceramic set, and am blown away with the classified section. So many iterations and values. My main goal is to have a set that supports cash games where we normally play 25 cent / 50 cent blinds. I don't see a lot of casino chips with those denominations very often so it seems like I may need to purchase new somewhere.

Anyway it's good to see such an active group here and look forward to participating more!

Original casino fracs are very rare, at best. Most of us end up converting other available chips into fracs using a variety of methods, some more time consuming and expensive than others.

You have confirmed my suspicions in that case. I don’t think conversion is in my future so I will be shopping for a new set. Thanks for the good info!
