The article said it wasn't the first time that there was an attempted robbery at that home during a poker game. Makes me wonder... is this a "home" game or an "underground" game.

While this totally seems like an underground game, I wonder if incidents like this one push folks more towards using an app like venmo or paypal to bank their home games. While sure, the crooks can always lift your phones, to me it seems like a much less juicy target if there isn't thousands of dollars in cash in one place.

So it's an inside job, right? Because how else would the robbers know to hit that particular house? They either lost a bunch of money or got a tip from some disgruntled player who lost a lot.
