I think I have contacted everybody that is waiting on me for design work. If I missed anybody I apologize and please contact me ASAP.
Please ignore everything below this if you don't want to hear a grown man whine like a little girl.
I turned 50 this year and 2018 hasn't been a good year for me. My issues are minor compared to what other people have gone through and are going through so I am not looking for any sympathy. I just wanted to let people know I am taking another break and to make sure I didn't miss anybody because I have not been keeping up with demand.
For people that are interested here are a few highlights for this year.
1) January - I fell while running and messed up my knee pretty good, this prevented me from running for about 6 weeks and it still hurts.
2) February - I hurt my back, ended up at the walk-in clinic because I couldn't walk, Drugs helped but it prevented me from doing much of anything for a while.
3) April - had x-rays on my shoulder because it has a been in pain for a while but now it was getting worse. x-rays showed no damage so I have been trying to work through the pain.
3) May - My back and knee were starting to feel a little better, I severely pulled my hamstring while running with my daughter. She plays soccer in college and we run together. Just another setback but I worked through it.
4) June/August - I found out I had a failing dental implant that was going to require surgery, I delayed the surgery until August after vacations and my daughter returning to college. As it turned out they had to remove two implants, another tooth and do bone graphing to rebuild my jaw. This was one of the most painful things I have ever been through.
5) September - I ended up at a shoulder specialist because my shoulder has been getting worse. I am having a hard time sleeping and it effecting everyday life. The doctor says he thinks it is a frozen shoulder, trying an ultrasound guided cortisone shot and PT and if that doesn't work they are going to have to take more drastic measures.
6) October - I have another round of dental surgery coming up, I am hoping it is less painful then the previous one. Doctor says it shouldn't be as bad but who knows.
With all this going on my desire to design and time available this year has taken a big hit. With going to PT 3-4 times a week, doctors visits, upcoming surgery, work, etc., I think it is better to take a step back and not over commit. I am keeping a couple of things that I am currently working on and will support as much as I can but my time is going to be limited.
end whine!
Hopefully 2019 will be better!!!
