I think I have contacted everybody that is waiting on me for design work. If I missed anybody I apologize and please contact me ASAP.

Please ignore everything below this if you don't want to hear a grown man whine like a little girl.
I turned 50 this year and 2018 hasn't been a good year for me. My issues are minor compared to what other people have gone through and are going through so I am not looking for any sympathy. I just wanted to let people know I am taking another break and to make sure I didn't miss anybody because I have not been keeping up with demand.

For people that are interested here are a few highlights for this year.
1) January - I fell while running and messed up my knee pretty good, this prevented me from running for about 6 weeks and it still hurts.
2) February - I hurt my back, ended up at the walk-in clinic because I couldn't walk, Drugs helped but it prevented me from doing much of anything for a while.
3) April - had x-rays on my shoulder because it has a been in pain for a while but now it was getting worse. x-rays showed no damage so I have been trying to work through the pain.
3) May - My back and knee were starting to feel a little better, I severely pulled my hamstring while running with my daughter. She plays soccer in college and we run together. Just another setback but I worked through it.
4) June/August - I found out I had a failing dental implant that was going to require surgery, I delayed the surgery until August after vacations and my daughter returning to college. As it turned out they had to remove two implants, another tooth and do bone graphing to rebuild my jaw. This was one of the most painful things I have ever been through.
5) September - I ended up at a shoulder specialist because my shoulder has been getting worse. I am having a hard time sleeping and it effecting everyday life. The doctor says he thinks it is a frozen shoulder, trying an ultrasound guided cortisone shot and PT and if that doesn't work they are going to have to take more drastic measures.
6) October - I have another round of dental surgery coming up, I am hoping it is less painful then the previous one. Doctor says it shouldn't be as bad but who knows.

With all this going on my desire to design and time available this year has taken a big hit. With going to PT 3-4 times a week, doctors visits, upcoming surgery, work, etc., I think it is better to take a step back and not over commit. I am keeping a couple of things that I am currently working on and will support as much as I can but my time is going to be limited.
end whine!

Hopefully 2019 will be better!!!

Steve, you were kind enough to take on my project DESPITE all of the life issues listed above, most of which I was unaware of until now. You were a pleasure to interact with during the design phase and your immense talent and creativity obviously speaks for itself. You add so much to this wonderful community while being truly a class act. Be well Sir and thank you for everything!

If you have the $$$ stem cells can do some crazy stuff. It is worth looking into.

Best wishes for all recoveries. Sorry to hear that there are quite a few at one time!

Sorry to hear this. That really is a shitty list of things to have to deal with.

I hope it all ends up getting better for you.

Thankyou @p5woody for all that you do and I wish you the best and hope for a speedy recovery!!!!

Sorry to hear about your troubles, Steve.

Keep at the PT. Take the time to take care of yourself and you'll make the time to get back to doing what you love.

GL.

Hope you start feeling better! I had quite a few dental procedures done this year so I feel your pain on that front.

Yikes! I have 2 dental implants, so I know your pain (also have 2 gum grafts, which I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy). Hopefully they get you fixed up quick!
Good luck and take it easy!

Sending thoughts and prayers your way Steve. You’re a stellar human being and deserve to feel better.

Sounds horrible, sometimes things suck, and I hope they get better soon. Your attitude will help you and everyone you love get through this, so focus on the positives and what you do have, not what you may have lost or how bad something might/does suck.
Keep strong,
T

Wishing you some run good mojo!
It is clear to see the impact you have on this community. Get well soon and come on back.

Joe

Oh man, I just dropped you a message and was looking for your past designs when I stumbled across this. Please ignore my design request and focus on feeling better. 2019 will definitely be better!
