I've seen your tables and I'm glad you learned from your mistakesSept of 2007, my very first poker table 9 years ago. Posted in the appropriate thread.
That folks, is a rail made with 2x4 lumber wrapped in a shower curtain with no padding. Pretty sure the playing surface was a bed sheet.

We all start somewhere.
Looks like a dog shit.
There are lots of things one can make, where using the outline of Michigan is a good idea -- cookies, cakes, candies, a map, a golf course hole, a left-hand mitten storage box, etc. A poker table is not one of those things.

<gasp> you mix your winter mittens with your oven mittens? Ours is a three storage box home.I have two mitten storage boxes to accommodate all my mitten storage needs.
Maybe my first contribution to this thread. Was looking for something else locally and came upon this monstrosity. Original link here (only $1000!) for as long as it's live. Photos saved for posterity.
I'm ignorant when it comes to table building, so I'll defer to the experts. However, this looks like a high quality table to me in terms of materials, much different than the other dogshit monstrosities we see in this thread.Maybe my first contribution to this thread. On a side note, it looks like a life raft that was attacked by a shark.
You are absolutely correct: it is an elaborate, expensive, well-crafted piece of shit.this looks like a high quality table to me in terms of materials

Want to go halfsies and co-own that bad boy? I've got $500 burning a metaphorical hole in my pocket.
Apart from being a design abortion, I can't imagine playing for more than an orbit on the puffy playing surface watching cards tumble into the oblivion between the surface and the rail and watch players mangle the cards while they try to pick them up literally every single time a hand is dealt.
So that's a no on going halfsies?
Fuck no I want full custody.

Those "cupholder" extensions are just a recipe for a spilled beer. At least it ends up on the floor and not on the precious table.View attachment 55486 Just came across this awesome find! I thought it was some kind of bug or spider at first glance
