Hey Everyone-

It’s time for me to give a little something back to this amazing community. I want to say thank you to everyone who has helped me along my chip journey thus far. I have so many things to be thankful for and being a member of this community is one of them. I was hit with some hard times like many of us earlier this year, but now I am back on my feet and the support of the members in this community has help lift my spirits along the way. Those who know me know I’m just an averaged guy who loves the game of poker and of course poker chips!

I would like to give something back to a lucky member this month. My birthday is coming up on the 23rd of September so I think that will fit for a cut off on entries and to pick a winner.

Rules are very simple, in order to enter all you have to do is post a picture of the chips that started it all for you!

Entries will be open until midnight 9/22 at which point I will use a randomizer to select the winner based on your entry number. Postage will be covered by me.

Up for the giveaway is a small set 8v CC chips and one Horseshoe Dealer Button. Not much I know but hope this will make someone’s day just a little better and let them know that good things still happen when you least expect it! I will start by including a picture of the chips that did it for me and the give away chips.

Good luck everyone stay safe and as always keep on chipping!

Cool Giveaway! Thanks.

I love 8V chips. I'm still pretty new here, so my first set is still my only set. 8Vs! I haven't been able to get my hands on any green ones yet, so fingers crossed.

Most still have the Lucky Strike label on them from when I got them. I'm working on a custom label that will look a lot like the draft that I put on my nickels, which used to be snappers. I also have a tournament set on the way from the Cards mold group buy that have a similar design to the nickel label.

Cash club was my first upgrade from dice chips...I still own them and use when others host from time to time. Actually, I haven’t sold any sets that I’ve acquired since throwing out the dice chips.

Those are Claysmith 12 stripes, right? I've never seen that label. Did you get then like that, or relabel them yourself?

This is what I started with...

"real clay " (not)
"official casino weight" (not)

Then I found this site. Now its an 1100 Casino used Paulson cash set (Horseshoe Cleveland plus solid Gear labeled fracs), a 1700 Royal 43mm China Clay tournament set, 6 sets of plastic cards, numerous cut cards/dealer buttons/card cappers, and oh, yeah, a genuine custom-cloth Chanman table (not to mention the currently on-hold CPC custom cash/tournament sets).

In! and thanks!

I’ll never forget. I had never used anything but Walmart brand, and after I finally got to host, it was a night of confusion, with people asking every hand what chips were worth (I wrote them up and printed them and everything).

I started looking, found a lot of sites say Nevada Jacks were the greatest, then I found here. Ended up with this set from @Jonesey07. Took it home, had CPS cards, was in heaven - thought I was the coolest host for miles and so did our neighbors.

Of course I had to log back on 6 months later, and now I’ve never left.

These were my first chips. I still have a few...good for leveling a table leg, etc.
At the time, I thought they were SO much better than those lowly dice chips. :ROFLMAO:
Paulsons soon followed.

OG dunes CCs were the first non dice chip I owned. That set off a cascade of purchases in a short period of time. CPS CCs, then my first Paulson chips my PNY set. Was an exciting time till financial issues. Thankfully those are behind us but oh the chips I missed...
