Finding players in college (3 Viewers)

I remember my first year of college, having to drive 1.5 hours to Casino Morongo as an 18 yo and playing $1-$5 7 Card Stud. I was the youngest at the table by at least 40 years every time 😂
Once we watched Rounders and Moneymaker won the WSOP, the games pretty much built themselves. We could easily find 6-10 players for a $5/$10 sit n go in the lounge. People walking through would see and the games would grow. We didn't have to be so "secretive" about that sort of stuff at my college so that helped.
I like the poker club suggestion. That would be a cool way to also get the school to provide some funds for snacks and supplies. Good luck!

My freshman year of college, I started a game by just knocking on random dorm room doors and asking if people wanted to play. Shortly after the first game, I discovered a dream: our dorm keys worked on the door to a neighboring and abandoned cafeteria. Still filled with chairs and tables. I was running 8 table cash games with nickel blinds before the university shut us down.

In short:
1. Find a place to play
2. Knock on doors

This might sound silly and maybe times have changed since I was in college but... can you get women to play? Include them and teach anyone new. They'll rightfully like being included (as they always should have been)... and dudes seem to follow. Girlfriends of friends, dorm neighbors, etc. Or is that not sound advice in this era? Sorry if so
